5.0 out of 5 stars LogicMark 30911 Guardian Alert
The product was exactly as promised.. all parts present.. very easy hookup and use. Will give us kids (and mom) major peace of mind knowing help is the push of a button away. Reasonably priced and no monthly fees. Great product!

I had hoped the 911 Guardian Phone would solve my dilemma, increased monthly expense from my present home safe alert system. It didn't!. I have two concerns:1] It's water 'resistant'; instructions say not to wear in the shower or around the neck at night. 2] It's heavy to wear around the neck and has no option to be worn on a wrist. Many purchase these items so they feel...

This unit doesn't try to get you involved in an extended pay plan that you don't need. One time price gets you a convenient and effective unit that calls 911 in an emergency, with a push of a button.

I bought this product for the first time for my mother about 2 years ago. It really gave her comfort knowing that help was just a click away. More recently a good friend of mine fell into very bad health and I was afraid to leave her home alone. My mother reminded me of the phone I got for her years before. I bought another one for my friend to wear. She had it a week when she was in a desperate situation alone at home and used it. 911 responded in minutes and took her off to the emergency room. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone with a freind or family alone at home.

I have two concerns:1] It's water 'resistant'; instructions say not to wear in the shower or around the neck at night. 2] It's heavy to wear around the neck and has no option to be worn on a wrist. Many purchase these items so they feel safe while bathing or being home alone at night specifically. If the unit can be made to be waterproof and small enough for wrist wear at night or all the time, it might resolve all my concerns. Until then, it's not an option for me to consider buying.

I was introduced to the 911 Guardian Phone at a local durable medical equipment store. I was impressed with their $200. asking price but decided to check Amazon.com before buying it. It's a good thing I did! Buying it through Amazon saved me about $55.00!
The machine was simple to install at Mom's house. Just plug it into her phone jack, push a couple of buttons and it was up and working. The only complaint is the fob is kind of large. Mom has a challenge to find a comfortable place to wear it and I'm afraid she will find the most comfortable place is on her dresser.
Mom's safety is the most important thing and this product helps us all sleep better. Knowing that, if she wears it, if anything happens to this 85 years young widow woman she can get 911 help is very comforting.

I have used these before and bought this one for a friend who had suffered a stroke. Talking directly to the local 911 operator is much preferable to a monitoring service that can be located miles away--even overseas--and avoids paying a monitoring fee each month. I highly recommend this for individuals who live alone and need a safety net.

5.0 out of 5 stars at last, a no-monthly payment fall safety device!, June 25, 2011

we bought two of these devices in two weeks, because older friends liked the sound of them -- cheaper than medic-alert with none of those monthly payments that add $300 a year to a questionable service.
this baby goes right through direct to your local 911 service, no messing with 3rd party participants on the other side of the country.
you DO have to have a landline though, not a cell phone. but most older people do have a land line.
we liked a) the lower prices on amazon (we saved $50!); b) the speedy dispatch and c) the simplicity with which we could fix it up and d) its versatility in being light, easy to wear (with choices of how-to) use and speak through. i know i sound like i own the company and, believe me, i'd like to. this beats the heck out of all those disgusting lets-bleed-elders-wallets so-called call-help devices.
Note: one thing they don't tell you is you need a line splitter, but that's a $6 item from your local hardware store, so we didn't mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars safety, May 15, 2011

I ordered the 911 Gaurian alert from Amazon.com. It was easy to order. The company the product came from got it out in record time I thought. The product is easy to use and as I expected. I am a caregiver and one of my clients had this device. There are no monthly fees. The alert buttom has a speaker built right into it and when you push the button it connects you dirctly to 911. You talk to the 911 operator in the speaker on the alert you wear aound your neck. Because there are no monthly fees it pays for itself in about 4 months.

I also orered a battery back up for it so if the electicity is off when I would need it it will still work. This was also ordered from Amazon and came in good time.
