A fair basic guide to JuJitsu Locks and Holds., January 18, 2010
This review is from: Aikido and jiu jitsu holds & locks (Paperback)
For those interested in learning formal Aikido methods, there are numerous books on the market that would be a better choice than this text. However, if you are into a Jujitsu art that includes finger, wrist, and armlocks, this book will be of some value for you. As I have mentioned in other reviews of Tegner's books, one of the things the author has done is to take the mysticism out of the martial arts.
He explains the developement of Aikido and the role Jujitsu played in this process. In conclusion, this book would be of interest to most martial artists who are into the grappling arts rather than the striking arts.
Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Monadnock Defensive Tactics System-MDTS)
