More About the Author

I am a father of three children. I have raised one teenager, and am now raising another and in a few years will be raising another. I am 61 years old, a lawyer and author. As a lawyer I have handled over 10,000 divorces and have studied the problems and feelings of teens. In over 35 years of directly observing teenagers I have been able to see the disconnect between teenagers and adults as well as their failure to communicate.

AIM HIGH! is written for the teenager in a quick and easy style that they are accustomed to. Short sentences similar to tweeter and instant messaging. The book is written so that teens can get through it quickly and painlessly. AIM HIGH! reconnects teenagers with the rest of society by giving them the wisdom and common sense needed for school and life. As an educator and current assistant principal,I have recommended Aim High 101 Tips for Teens to both my colleagues and the parents of my pre-teen/teen students. It's an easy read for both parents and students. It is a simple guide to life and all that we hope for our students and children. Makes a great Parent Association gift for those students entering middle school or high school. Also a great conversation starter for parents during those difficult years! Buy it, share it!!

Far from preachy, Aim High presents 101 concise guiding principles that kids should find quick to read and easy to remember. Short enough for short attention spans and in a form that does not require sequential reading. Not a how-to guide but rather a selection of aphorisms designed to provoke further thought or initiate discussion. Excellent for teens struggling with peer pressure who can find solid one-liners at their fingertips to give them strength to stand tall. Nothing out of the ordinary here as far as pithy advice, just the tried-and-true basics for success in one's life and endeavors in a compact format.
