5.0 out of 5 stars Educator says: "Buy it, share it!"
As an educator and current assistant principal,I have recommended Aim High 101 Tips for Teens to both my colleagues and the parents of my pre-teen/teen students. It's an easy read for both parents and students. It is a simple guide to life and all that we hope for our students and children. Makes a great Parent Association gift for those students entering middle school...

A very "straight to the point" book. Great advice and simple to understand. With having four daughters, sometimes you need a little help to open up the lines of communication!

5.0 out of 5 stars Encouraging Words for Pre-Teens and Teens, April 14, 2009
Far from preachy, Aim High presents 101 concise guiding principles that kids should find quick to read and easy to remember. Short enough for short attention spans and in a form that does not require sequential reading. Not a how-to guide but rather a selection of aphorisms designed to provoke further thought or initiate discussion. Excellent for teens struggling with peer pressure who can find solid one-liners at their fingertips to give them strength to stand tall. Nothing out of the ordinary here as far as pithy advice, just the tried-and-true basics for success in one's life and endeavors in a compact format.

5.0 out of 5 stars A valuable resource to parents and teachers and teens everywhere, July 20, 2010
This review is from: Aim High! 101 Tips For Teens (Paperback)
"Aim High! 101 Tips for Teens" is a text-reduced collections of valuable tips for teens that cut to the heart of encouraging maturity and learning to make well-considered choices. Every tip is succinct (under 140 characters), encouraging teen tweeters, texters, and IM-ers to compete reading each page and continue progressing on through the book. Quite a lot of solid ethics and considerations for others as well as respect for oneself and taking responsibility for self health care is packed into these 101 pages. The last 15 pages are blank, labeled "My Thoughts..." and "Think!" "Aim High! 101 Tips for Teens" is a practical guidebook for teens that can claim to be accessible to both teens and adults. It is a valuable resource to parents and teachers and teens everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars CONCERNED GRANDFATHER, December 7, 2009
This book teaches tweens and teens lessons they don't learn in school. It teaches how to behave and act as they grow up. Without this book I wonder how they will ever learn all this information that we expect them to know. Aim High! is terrific!

AIN HIGH! 101 Tips for Teens is exactly what the title says....tips for teens! It is easy to read and understand, provides tips for success and has space for notes. Every middle school student should have a copy to read and use as a guide to life. If I were a middle school teacher, I would certainly want to use it with my students. I highly recommend this book to educators, parents and students...it is a great gift for teens!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book For Teens & Parents ! ! !, November 30, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This is a wonderful book for teens as well as their parents. It provides kids with simple basic axioms that we all learned (or should have learned) as kids. And it provides a refresher course for all of us. It's an easy read that teens will be able to pick up, understand and relate to.
I'm on the Board of a non-profit organization that runs many youth development programs and provides social services for many school age kids. I plan to give several copies of this book to our Executive Director and suggest that he distribute them to the teens in our programs. I hope we can get someone to underwrite the purchase of 250 of these books so that we can give one to each child. Every parent should buy one of these books, read it and give it to their teenager as a present for the holidays.
