I originally was going to say this was a great light for the price, but really, this flashlight is THE BEST in it's class. I spent a lot of time comparing many other AAA flashlights, and they all fall short compared to this model. Im a huge fan of Fenix flashlights and was going to get a Fenix E05 R2 Flashlight, but it only provides 1 mode (27 lumens). Then i looked at the Fenix E01 Compact LED Flashlight, while cheaper, that too only has one mode (10 lumens). Then you look at the Fenix LD01 Flashlightand that has 3 modes, and up to 80 lumens, but it's 2x the price. So why not save money and buy 2 of these and get the same performance. The only other flashlight you might consider would be the 4Sevens Preon 1, R5, Flashlight; Black; 70 OTF lumens; 1xAAA which has 6 modes, and 70 lumens, but the bonus is, if you buy the body separately from 4sevens you can change it to the longer 2-AAA size whenever you need. But this too is more money than just getting 2x ITP A3 EOS's. I originally bought the stainless steel version for my EDC, and it has lasted me 5 years and i still use it to this day. Over the years i keep returning to this flashlight and i have bought about 7-8 (black version) of these lights, and give them to relatives, and everyone loves them.Read more ›

I've sold over 300 LED lights at Southern Company, and this is the most impressive ever !

A "Man" or Woman with normal grip can turn it on/off with one hand.

The "Low" setting @ 1.8 Lumens is more than bright enough for ~20' viewing.

At the "High" setting, it will light up an asphalt roadway up to 100' !
Lighter color subjects over 200' !

This is All the Flashlight that most anyone will EVER need..

FYI I use cheap-o Nickle Metal Hydride AAA's from Ray-O-Vac and am pleased with output & duration.

The fit/finish and threads are perfect, the lens is thick glass, the clip is good & the keychain grip is quality..

Bottom Line, buy this light and keep your money you save on batteries in the bank.

This is one bright, convenient, handly, little keychain light. I work at a datacenter and deal with computer servers' cabinets and network appliances' closets often. Some of the area are very low in light and you really do need a flashlight to see what you're doing. Having a large flashlight is not ideal since sometime I need both hands to connect, check, etc on appliances, cables etc. With this little flashlight I can place it anywhere or hold it with my mouth to shine in the direction I need and have both of my hands free to do whatever I need to. And with 3 mode of light I can set it to the right amount of light needed, this is very convenient! At the brightest level (190 lumens) it can light up a whole closet or a small room. And it can surely blind the heck outta of ya!

I do recommend this keychain flashlight. It's very convenient and you can practically use it anywhere with a great amount of light output, since it's always on your keychain!

One AAA battery and this (version 3) light produces more than enough light for most tasks. The low beam allows you to get around at night without disturbing others and extend battery life for hours. You would pay $10 for a light 1/4th as bright and not nearly as compact or well made. This one fits in my jeans watch pocket which makes it easy to have a flashlight with you all the time for emergencies or just convenience. I put one in my home emergency kit because it doesn't take much room and requires only one little AAA battery

My only complaints are that it is a two handed operation to turn if on or off. A small end cap button would make it much more convenient. Also, the inclusion of the lanyard ring post on the tail end makes it impossible to set the light on its end and illuminate a room. A major mistake of many flashlight manufactures. Wait until you get caught in a power failure and you will see how amazing it is to be able to illuminate an entire room by standing this light on-end and setting on a table. I know this is a keychain light so maybe a new model with the above changes would make a killer product.
A great light! Get one... or two.

Purchased an ITP A3 EOS in blue to replace a cheapie flat $.99 keychain light used almost daily at work. This light is a giant leap from the checkout counter disposable I was used to.

FWIW
After reading how others have altered the light for increased output I ordered a pair of rechargeable 10440 batteries and charger. Please note that this battery is NOT recommended and if used on high for longer than a minute it could overheat. Battery life and integrity is also diminished if used on high setting for anything more than the occasional "check this out!" usage. A copper washer or loop of wire is required to allow the body to contact the head with the longer 10440 battery (do a search for details). I went to the basement to test and I have to say the result is nothing short of astonishing. Low setting is now brighter than what I was used to. Medium is brighter than any other AAA light I have ever tried. High actually startled me. It was so bright I went outside at night to compare it with my son's Xtar 800lm light. This little supercharged freak is very close to the high setting on the much larger Xtar. Keep in mind practical use on high is very limited. I ordered two more of the same light because I'm guessing it might lead a short life with the more powerful battery. At less than $15 the risk of failure is worth the fun factor to me.

While it's a great light to play with, I would still highly recommend this light with its intended AAA battery.
