NOT ACCURATE-WOBBLES IN CHAMBER,

I'm very disappointed. I bought this for my 17HMR break open single shot and it does not have a tight fit in the chamber and the laser wobbles around in the bore. It might work for a bolt action, but if you have a break open single shot, don't waste your money.

excellent boresite but..it is for the 17 caliber HMR. I have a 17 caliber mach2. They are both 17 caliber rifles but this boresite will not work with the mach2. The ammo for the mach2 is smaller than the 17 HMR.

Powerful and small laser bore sight.,
This review is from: Aimshot 17 Caliber Laser Boresight (Sports)
I bought one to sight in a 17HMR scoped pistol. The item includes (3) Energizer 392/384 button batteries, the laser unit and a nice carrying case which has loops for an additional eight arbors or lasers and a ten page user manual. The actual laser point is very small, and I couldn't see it outdoors. Had to sight-in the scope in a dark basement. Worked perfectly, no problem adjusting my scope.
I was disappointed with the ambiguous manual description of which sight fit which caliber, and which needed an addition arbor. And I ended up buying three wrong batteries based on the sight image in the manual. The manual show six different Laser Bore Sights, with the quantity and battery model numbers. This sight, the .17 caliber one is identical to the first picture in the manual, which has the incorrect (and expensive) battery number. The manual say's the .17 caliber uses (3)-L626 button batteries which are too small and do not work. The actual battery is the LR41 shown for the .223 caliber, which is currently a 392/384 button battery. While trying to sort out the battery and manual in general, I used up the three batteries without ever sighting in. The laser is ON when you put the batteries in. Be careful. So I bought six more batteries. Three incorrect ones and three correct ones for about $21 total at the battery store. Yeah.. I'm a bit ticked off about that too. Bottom line it works. Has a bright laser red dot. |
