Ain's Song is a historical novel set in the middle ages. Reading about Ain, especially in France, I felt transpoarted, wandering with her on her life journey. A great read - waiting for the continuation.

What a beautiful story. I loved the devotion shown through Ain and all the family members toward each other. The queen's devotion to Ain is visible throughout this book.

No one ever forgets his or her first love. Alice Moerk told that so well with the character Hughes who totally understood Ain's longing and memory of her first husband Thierry. And Ain understood Hughes' love for his dead wife as well. After all Ain had been through, it was rewarding to read how Ain found passion with Hughes. A nice touch.

This is a wonderfully written book and would be of interest to anyone enamored with the middle ages. Well done, Alice Moerk!
