Neat idea, but this little camera leaves a lot to be desired, both as a camera and as a web cam. Requires bright light to get anything but a dark picture. I could get a decent pick of the light over the dining table or my monitor (when it was on), but not my own face in a room with average lighting. The best picture taken was during daylight on an overcast day in a room with windows and a 100 watt bulb on in the room, and still it ended up too dark to even edit to normal coloration. On the web site, it says that there is no flash available for it, even third party. Needless to say, with such poor results in the still and web cam functions, I didn't even try to make a video.

Installation on my XP system was also problematic, even following the poorly written instructions. I finally went to the web site where it advised going into Device Manager and diddling with things there. As well, to get it to function on my system I had to turn off the hardware accelleration on my graphics card.

Additionally, the small size makes it unstable in the provided tripod once you attach the USB cable as the cable weight pulls it over.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Definitely not.
