4.0 out of 5 stars It;s ok
This camera is okay but sometimes the batteries will die and all your pictures will be gone this is good for younger kids but not for older kids because it is more of a toy than a digital camera

4.0 out of 5 stars For the cost, it's great., February 24, 2004

I've read some poor reviews about this little cam and I felt I needed to defend this thing. I paid $30 for it, for that meager sum I recieved a web cam that is flawless. Now the lack of a flash should tell you that as a digital camera, it's better off for use outside. I don't really use the 14 second (or so) of video mode as there is no sound and such a low time limit. On my pc, I run "XP" and have had no problems with the driver or the picture software. I've had it for seven months and have since bought a $100 digital camera. My wife and teenage daughter may want to take pictures at the same time as I so both cameras get taken since after all, they call it a pen-cam due to its small size. It was a real bargin!

5.0 out of 5 stars I have had this camera 2 years, it's great !!, July 19, 2004

I mostly use this camera for taking pictures through my computer using the live camera viewing and the software that came with it. The pictures are big, clear, and come out very good. It's very easy to use, it fits in my hand, and the batterys seem to last a long time. Very durable, I throw it in my purse, my car, my desk, and it always works fine. For the money, ease of use, and the great pictures, you can't go wrong with this little camera.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cute piece of JUNK!, March 19, 2004

I can't get the camera to work on my Windows XP. Batteries seem to be dieing within hours. Then tested batteries and they are fully charged, yet camera won't turn on. And there's NO OFF button! And it doesn't record SOUND! How can a web cam not have a mic? And who wants video without sound? And the Compact Flash card is NOT removable so you can't insert a larger (256MG) card if you wanted to. I've wasted 2 full days trying to get this camera to work on my PC with NO luck. Don't waste your time. It's not worth it. AipTek is JUNK! Back to Best Buy to return it...

5.0 out of 5 stars It works on my computer., January 28, 2004

I am using this as a fun stuff, sometimes a web-cam.
Nothing goes wrong with this whenever I upgraded my
system to XP. I am also thinking of buying another
higher spec Aiptek digital camera. Sometimes, I've found
reviews said something like "don't buy Aiptek....", I
was really curious: Do they really know or use all products
by Aiptek? Or, I believe, that were again some commerical
tricks - don't buy theirs, buy ours.

1.0 out of 5 stars Paper weight, April 13, 2007

Well it is not even heavy enough to be a paper weight... Can you believe a simple point-and-shoot camera would be hard to use, this one is. Don't waste your time, I have gotten better photos by throwing some ink at a piece of paper. Oh and don't try to connect it to your PC, becuase just making a simple flash drive would be too easy, why don't we make propietery software instead. Bottom line: NO
