3.0 out of 5 stars Pocket Cinema
The camera is as stated. The only problem is you have to convert your presentations in order to project. A plug n' play would be easier.

The Aiptek Pocket Cinema V10 (The Old Model) Projects an image with sound. You can turn up the brightness to fill a fairly large screen in the dark. (They never told us that it can't operate very long without overheating)!

The Pocket Cinema V20 got it right this time. The picture is noticeably brighter with better color. Using a standard camera tripod I can throw a very acceptable picture onto a six foot screen. There is an internal menu for adjusting brightness, contrast, color saturation, etc. The best part is that after showing a full-length movie the projector remains cool enough not to cause any problems.

The controls have been redesigned with a flat illuminated touch panel to control the electronics (it takes some getting used to, but the sensitivity is adjustable), a real switch to power the unit on and off, and a very good remote control. The battery can now be left in the unit without overcharging when using the AC adaptor.

Using the included adaptor cables you can connect any standard video source (RCA connectors), or use the internal memory (2GB) or add an SDHC memory card. However, unlike the V10+, the projector <<can't>> record the show into memory.Aiptek PocketCinema V20 Portable Pico Projector with SD Slot and Built-In Media Player-Black

Additionally the projector connects to the standard VGA monitor output on your laptop enabling business use (not in brightly-lit room).

Keeping in mind that this is an LED projector which isn't meant to fill a large screen in a brightly-lit room the Aiptek Pocket Cinema V20 is definitely worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, August 29, 2011
This review is from: Aiptek PocketCinema V20 Portable Pico Projector with SD Slot and Built-In Media Player-Black (Office Product)
This Projector is very small and it has very nice resolution, you can project videos, powerpoint presentations, etc. It has a battery so it doesn't need to be connected all time and it has a convenient slot for SD cards. It really surprised me because it works great and the cost is much better than the regular projectors.

1.0 out of 5 stars too slow, not practical for live use at all, August 31, 2010

I have the Nikon Coolpix 1000pj, which projects the pictures at the moment I take them, on the ceiling or all. It is such a major success, so popular among my friends, that I decided to "upgrade" for a projector itself. I liked the idea that I could take the SD memory cards from my friends, on spot, and project them, not only my pics.
The projector would have a larger screen, and more brilliant image (50% more light!).
Than I purchased this item.
It works on a party where you can choose the pictures in advance, and limit the card with the pics you want, and live it like that.
For MY purpose, won't work at all, because it is TOOOOOOOO slow.
It is so slow it's ridiculous.
When you choose the file you want to show the pics from (which already takes you about 30 seconds, minimum), you enter this file, and than the desparate minutes begin.
Each picture takes about 10 to 15 seconds to appear as a picture icon; Each 6, and you have to turn the page, and wait another 60 seconds to appear the next 6 picture's icons; If you want to go to a specific picture, as I always need to do (to show some friend HIS pictures, not the entire library) I will take at list 5 minutes. IT IS RIDICULOUS.
With my Nikon camera/projector, it's immediate, like one second to scan and another second to project.
With this Projector, it's just un-usable. One of my biggest mistakes to buy it.
Remember: IT'S NOT FOR THE PURPOSE I purchased, I imagined that if a combo-camera would do a good job, a specific projector would make it much better.
It was not, it is tooo slow for everything.
Oh, it freezes sometimes and only turning off and on again, and another minute to appear the file cabinets, and another minute to enter inside a cabinet, and than about 1 minutes to see the small icons of each 6 pics... It is unusefull!
FOR THE PURPOSE I PURCHASED, not for normal use (and one type of use only, which is to project everything and not zooming or changing pics on your own;
By the way, Zooming and trying to move to other parts of the pictures is another huge problem and tends to work sometimes, sometimes not.
My comment: forget this piece of garbage for now.
