Great book but can be improved, February 8, 2000
This review is from: Air Alert II: The Complete Vertical Jump Program - Revised (Paperback)
Don't get me wrong, this is a great regimen to follow. The problem is, it requires complete dedication. You won't get the results promised if you only do the workout 3 times a week. I tried that and I gained nothing in 2 weeks. But when I worked out for 2 weeks, 5 days a week, I actually gained 2.5 inches on my vertical. I feel the nutritional instructions could also be improved. If I could do it all over again, I would NOT follow the nutritional instructions. It is not complete information. Because of it, I gained a lot of fat and is still not able to get rid of it. It is advisable that you know your physical limitations and adjust the program so it fits your physical abilities. Otherwise, I believe it is a very helpful book.

Much Promised, Little Delivered, March 14, 2000
This review is from: Air Alert II: The Complete Vertical Jump Program - Revised (Paperback)
I purchased the program in hope to gain at least 8 inches on my vertical jump, just like the guarantee states. However, as I did the program 5 days a week for the whole 12 weeks, my vertical decreased the whole time and after I laid off for a week after those 12 weeks, I may have ended up with around 3-4 inches more on my vertical. Now, this may have been because I had a relatively high vertical to start with (32-33 inches). Basically the program is probably great, if used with a diminishing frequency. My body couldn't take the repeated stress from the workouts the whole 12 weeks. 2-3 times a week instead of 5 would have been better, significantly. So this program is most likely directed to people with low verticals or low fitness backgrounds to start with. I have had many friends gaining even more than 12 inches with this program. But they all started from very modest vertical jumps. P.S: I sent my program back to TMT Sports for a full refund like the money-back-guarantee stated to be possible, and I never heard from them again. Makes me wonder...
