There are very few flight games out for the playstation and for the asking price, this is a "must have." Your goal is to finish over 15 missions of bombing, air to air combat, and search and rescue missions. Plane response is very realistic. Check it Out

This game is one of the only flight simulatiors for the Playstation but it is surprisingly very good. It has great plane selection and three different skill levels for anywhere from a first time gamer or a professional gamer like myself.

I bought this game because there are very few flight simulating games for the Sony Playstation. To be honest, it's not the maximum experience, but you have to be quick to engage the enemy. Especially when it's oncoming directly TOWARDS YOU. You have to be quick trying to turn your plane's nose toward the enemy's plane, try to stay in line with it and shoot your target as close as you can get, while at the same time you're beeing shot up from the ground. I think that's a challenge. I liked the variety of planes and their different aerodynamic features. As of the F-117, IT'S A STEALTH AIRCRAFT! IT CANNOT BE AS HIGHLY MANEUVERABLE AS OTHER AIRCRAFT BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCCION MATERIALS USED TO BUILD IT AND THE SHAPE IT HAS!

It's nice to have a air combat game with the sea of driving games for the PlayStation. I would hope they could at least apply some of the attention-to-detail the driving games get. The planes handle like crap (the F-117 stalls at any change in direction and speed), air speed is slow, the flight ceiling is just higher than the roof of your house, and the weapons are far from true-to-life. The F-14 is a lumbering bullet like in real life, but the F-14 was created to carry the Phoenix Air-To-Air missile that can be fired from hundreds of miles away, yet you have to get your F-14 into dogfight situations (it was not meant for that) to lock on at 1000 yards because that's the magic number for any aircraft in the Air Combat game. For $15 it's not a bad game, but I beg and plead for a gaming company to put out a real fighter-combat simulator for the PlayStation.

Graphics: 6/10 – Not too flash really, there isn’t much to look at here. The aeroplanes look nice when you’re checking out which one to fly in, but in the air, it’s mostly just a nice shade if blue.

Sound: 6/10 – I can remember the background plane noises, but the shooting sounds could’ve been more bang-crash-WAM!

Value: 5/10 – If you play a lot of games that are based around things in the air or aeroplanes, this isn’t the pick of the litter. It is worth buying for a price under $..., but you might not be interested if you aren’t willing to get fly-wise.

Overall: 6/10 – Definitely not a poor game, it will teach you with its intelligence how to fly a simulator plane, but don’t expect the entertainment level to be through the roof.

Many may ask why I would give this game such a high score, its because this game is about four years old. You can't judge it against current games if you simply want to judge its worth. It's an arcade-style flying game with graphics which most would consider somewhat dated, however the gameplay is solid and the presentation gives players a fun diversion.

This game does not have many of the features I've found in other flight games. The planes fly like bricks. No afterburners. Not even dual shock control compatable. Crap. But for 15 bucks, it could be a lot worse. The music couldn't, but the game could.

Its really fun at the begining except once you play it its starts to get easier and easier. I love the planes and the graphics are cheap but dont lag to much. I do suggest this game for an old-timer gamer (one that can support cheap graphics).

Don't be fooled by this game's rating on the most popular site because this game is not at all up to the Sony Playstation standard. The planes are very slow and difficult to control. In addition there are not enough weapon options. I give this game 2 thumbs down!

that was just a beutiful ending and i thought in the cretids that playing the game relly payed of.espeshaly after the ending.you shold get this game ASAP because its a very very fun game and id like to give namco a thumbs up for this wonderful game.i relly want ace combat 2 now! i mean the missions are just amazing and the last mission you get a desire to fight and youll want to play it over and over again!.i just love this game 5/5
