3.0 out of 5 stars Ehh... It's "OK".. October 3, 2011
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I am a 50 year old casual gamer. I am not into the cartoony archade type games. I love realism, and simulation type stuff,a nd realistic 1st person shooters (COD). I am huge into flight simulation, and driving type simulations. Ace Combat has the modern flight stuff pretty much taken care of, but we do need more vintage flight stuff. I was a HUGE fan of Birds Of Prey that came out for X-box 360, however it fell pretty short for DLC, upgrades, and support. They pretty much dropped a huge fan base and ignored their support to fix little issues with that combat game. I was hoping that this would be something to replace BOP. It isn't. I was disappointed in this one. It's fun, but just too cartoony and archade like for my tastes. I was hoping for more flight options, and realism. The graphics aren't as good as BOP, with the exception of the fire, and shoot downs are nicer, but overall graphics, not so much. I like this game, it is fun, but I get bored with it pretty quick. I was on BOP for weeks on line for hours at a time, but this game after a day, I was pretty much bored with it. Would I recommend it? Yeah, probably like I said, it is fun, and not too bad, i was just expecting more simulation and realism from it than it offers. No buyers remorse, but don't compare it to BOP, and if I knew then what I know now, I would have waited a couple months and pick it up on ebay for less than $20. Developers, take note. Please come up with something for us aging gamers that like vintage flight simulation from WWI-Korean war era. We're out here, and we are the ones that got the money and buy this stuff. I would love to see some WWII Pacific theator flight simulation and situations show up. Buy this game, it's fun, and it is cheaper than most new releases, but don't expect a realistic simulation type experience.

Verified Purchase
I am sure I was doing everything right however the aircraft was impossible to control and I feel that buying it was just a waste of money. In the future, I will buy this type of merchandice from a local dealer so that if it turns out to be as bad as this one, I can return it for a refund or trade.
