I've used these in the past, and wasn't sure if they still made them, but I found them through Amazon, it took almost 2 weeks to recieve them after I ordered them. There're sturdy and well made, and I have never found a anything else as good to do the job. They should market them for other applications as well, there're not just for VW use. They fit through a 5/8" hole and take a 1/2" hose. They seal tightly with O-rings, but you can use adhesives or sealants for a more permanent situation. It would be nice if they had a raised lip for a more positive grip on the hose tang. I would use them again in the future. I wish they were available in all different sizes-
