A Great Little R/C Heli,

While I was skeptical of the helicopter missile launching abilities, my son was grinning ear to ear the first time he pushed the big red fire button on the remote. It's sad to say that I spend just as much time playing with it as him. Its very sturdy for a micro-heli, its body is a very light but resilient plastic vs the cheap feeling foam most others use. Its easily hits 5-6 minutes of flight time (even carrying it's two small missiles), with a 20-30 minute recharge in between (typical for this type). It Does NOT have a tail rotor, instead it has a series of hidden vents with a small fan near the body; IMHO this greatly increases its durability but cuts down on maneuverability compared to other micros. Very easy to fly (my 4 1/2 year old can fly it reasonably well). Its little spring powered plastic missiles are hard to track down if your not careful, but it comes with 6 extras just in case. A lot of fun and Highly Recommended.
P.S. Adult supervision for younger/immature children is necessary. The Helicopter can veer off wildly when its rotor hits a wall/ceiling if you don't let off the throttle; better to have it fall than knock items over.)

Pretty Good Fun for the Money,

For an old kid (I am 42) this is a pretty fun RC helicopter. I fly it around my office area with some success. I would not necessarily recommend it for younger children as they may not have the patience to master it and will be disappointed by the short flying time.
Here are my main points about this product: 1. It takes a bit of practice and a light touch to get it to fly smoothly. Even then there is a bit of random variation. I would not expect to be able to maneuver it with a great deal of precision. 2. The trim also needs to be adjusted, which can only be done after you are able to get it to hover successfully. 3. The one I received seems pretty durable. On my first flight I got it stuck in the tile ceiling of my office. It fell to the floor and was ready for more. Nonetheless, I can see that one should be careful when handling it, but it seems to take the abuse of crashes pretty well. 4. As far as I can tell it is not "radio" controlled in that it appears to use infrared LEDs for control. This means that you need to keep it within line of sight to keep it in control. Otherwise, bad things can happen (i.e. crash). 5. The missiles are slow to react, and the do unbalance it, but they are fun anyway. 6. The battery will not last for too long before it needs to be recharged. This is due to the fact that it needs to be very light in order for the motor to be able to create the lift required for it to fly. But it is fun while it lasts, and then it takes a bit of time to get it recharged. I would definitely get some rechargeable batteries for the controller. 7. Be realistic about your expectations for the price you are paying. "Real" RC helicopters are very expensive, and this thing by comparison is dirt cheap. I was amazed for the price that it flew at all!

I did not expect much from this little RC helicopter, but I am now impressed. It took me maybe four or five flights before I really had any degree of control developed, but now I can fly it with confidence. It's not perfect, but for $35 it is quite a great toy. My four year old has never really gotten the hang of flying this one, he is better with the Air Hogs Atom which is much smaller, more durable, but really can only hover, not fly around.
The Sharp Shooter is stable, but slow. I can fly it all around the house, but it takes patients and a lot of directional correction. It gets banged up a lot, but has only superficial damage. Pros: - Tough - Very Stable - Just over 7 minute flight time - Highly realistic model - It shoots! Cons: - It takes a long time to charge (at least 30 minutes) - It takes a subtle touch to control well - Control is not always predictable Flying tip - Don't count on it always turning as quickly as you expect, sometimes it is easier to spin around in the opposite direction to get it pointed where you want.
