4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little beginner RC heli!, May 22, 2010

This little RC heli is a lot of fun. It's perfect for beginner getting the first RC heli. It's durable, as I have dropped it multiple times an run its blades against the wall already. It's easy to fly and control.

The key to flying this heli is to make sure you have plenty of space indoor, like a room with high ceiling. It's easy to go up and down, and the trim is easy to set. However, it's not that easy to make it turn left or right. It just likes to circle on its own. That's probably why it's a beginner heli.

The flight time is decent, about 5 to 10 minutes per charge. Once it does not go up and hovers just a couple inches above the ground, it's about time to get it charged.

Overall, it gives you a lot of fun, but at the same time, you'll want to upgrade and ask for more on a better heli.

4.0 out of 5 stars 9-year old Michael's Review, October 17, 2010
A Kid's Review

This review is from: Air Hogs R/C Havoc Heli - Blue and Yellow (Toy)
> Michael: It was pretty fun so far.

> Mom: What's the best part about this plane?
> Michael: It's remote control, and you don't have to touch it necessarily to get it to move. The worst part is that it runs out of battery too quickly. Like, WAY too quickly.

> Mom: About how long does the battern last?
> Michael: 5-15 minutes.

> Mom: How does it recharge?
> Michael: There's a little hole in the helicopter - a rectangular hole - and there's a cord built into the remote control, and you just plug the cord into the hole in the helicopter. It takes about... 30 minutes-1hour to recharge completely.

> Mom: Would you buy another?
> Michael: Um.. Maybe.

> Mom: Why do say that?
> Michael: So that while one is recharging, I can play with the other. And while the other is charging, I can play with the other one.

> Mom: Anything else you'd tell another person about the Air Hogs helicopter? Any advice?
> Michael: After you use up all the battery in your helicopter, wait 10-15 minutes before you recharge it again. So that the battery can cool down.

Mom's Notes:
* The remote control takes batteries, and it charges the helicopter.
* It's fairly sturdy, considering how flimsy the structure looks. However, the flight ability has reduced since bumping around (we abused it quite a bit).
* Not too bad for a first rc airplane, I think. Comes with replacement rotors, which is pretty cool, and you can pretend to be a plane mechanic while changing it.
* If you buy this right before your birthday, there's a chance you might see a real helicopter land right before you on your birthday.*wink*
* There are 2 controls, motor of blades, and left/right steer stick.
* It flies pretty high (before it gets banged up), and touched our ceiling when we flew it indoors. If you fly it outdoors, it will blow away on a windy day!
* The radio distance is about 12-15 feet away. After that, there is a chance your plane will just lose connection, and drop down to the ground.

5.0 out of 5 stars Son loves this!, May 2, 2010

My four year old son received this from his grandma and loves it. He can't do anything complicated with it, but he loves flying it. This one is a little more durable than the last one that we had from the same company. The whole helicopter has plastic on it as opposed to exposed styrofoam. However our last one lasted well over a year and we all loved playing with it.
