This is by far the BEST Air Hog plane/heli we have ever purchased. My 10 year old son has had this plane for over 2 months and it still works like brand new after many many flights. He loves it and has gotten quite good at flying it! My husband and I can't believe how smooth it flys and how long it can stay up in the air without crashing. Well worth the money without a doubt.

We have been through a few of the RC planes, most have broken within a few runs. However, this one has survived and handles well. The remote takes a little practice to "get it", but is convenient because you charge the plane from it. You should be doing manuevers and banks in no time at all. We continue to have fun with this, weather permitting.

If you are hesitant to buy this product, then I would suggest that you do a search on youtube for it. That's what sold me on it, watching the youtube video of how easily this plane flies. It does fly easily, but I must warn you, don't fly it in high winds if you want to get it back down to the ground.

It is lightweight and made of EFF foam for a reason, to survive your frequent nosedives as you learn how to fly this plane (Oh, keep the plastic nosecone protector on that comes with the plane, just remove the fastening tape that holds the plane in the package). And if you crack or break a piece of this plane, have some clear tape on hand to fix it. And you don't have to worry about breaking the rotor blades in the ducts, they are well protected. It is rated Intermediate, but Beginners can fly this plane too (Better than a Megatech RTF plane, believe me). That's all I can think of for now, and it flew the way I wanted it to yesterday when I went on two plane flights yesterday.

This was a GREAT birthday gift my wife picked out for our nine year old son. Once we figured out the best way to fly it, and how to deal with breezes, it was a breeze! The plane is a lot of fun. It recharges quickly although make sure the charge light it lit and that might take some wiggling. It is VERY light so high winds will take it far, far away, and into trees that might be there, so I would follow the directions about flying it in slight or no breezes only! It is also 'delicate' so we found that if you leave the power on in a dive, it dives very quickly, whereas if you cut the engines, it rightens itself - if it is high enough from the ground - and if not it crashes with a little less CRASH!! We love it, but don't drop a book on it!

I got this plane today after breaking a cheap Estes Viper plane before we even flew it. This plane flew immediately and was easy to control, even mostly for my 8-yr old son who got a good flight on his 3rd try. It is also much more durable, and has no moving parts except the propellers. It flew better and longer than my friend's > $80 plane.

This aircraft does pretty well- the canard design (forward tail) prevents stalls. The controller has an excellent range, and the batteries hold a charge long enough for many flights. To make a turn, the inboard motor is automaticallty thottled back- but this can result in a loss of altitude. We added a couple aluminum tabs on the canards that made it possible to change the flight characteristics (see the customer pictures). Overall- worth the money; better that several other RC aircraft we have tried.

I would ignore the sour 'one star' reviews. This plane is a wonderful flyer. Of course, it's very light and a small breeze will send it sailing, but what do you expect for something that weighs about 1.5 oz? I've owned a lot of rc planes, the smallest to some of the largest and this is a great deal of fun. I've flown this little guy for over one year (crashed it a zillion times) and it is a always a hit at picnics and other gatherings. Just fly it on calm days (and have some crazy glue for repairs)!

This plane is very easy to fly and works well. The charge will last for a good while. If it's windy the plane gets tosed around a bit, but all in all it flies great. It has a tendancy to shoot straight up if your to fast on the sticks. My 9 year old son loe this thing and has a plast dive bombing my havoc heli. Brat.

Best looking and coolest Air Hog yet flys like a champ.I have used this Air Hog over and over again if u are able to get one hurry up and buy it because there becomming hard to find.I have one myself and im having lots of fun with it.This jet responds really well and flys awsome.Dont listen to the sour reviews just a bunch of noob plane flyers who dont know what there doing.For [...] if u can get it for that grab it.The price is going to climb due to the fact there becomming non existant because there the hottest hog on the market and people are snatching them up like water.Be prepeared to not be able to buy it for 40$ be prepared to pay at least 100$ tops maybe more.I have an email from spin master the maker of the Air Hogs line confirming to me there done making this style of an Air Hog this year and 2010 will bring different models.So get it while u can because it will be a must have for Air Hog fans.Do a search and find and buy one you will see how hard it is to buy online and or find at a store insane I tell ya.So keep looking online here at Amazon and at a store and grab em while u can !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this after reading some positive reviews but am really disappointed. It maybe that I got a lemon, but it doesn't have enough power to climb more than a couple of feet. All you can do is make it climb a few feet, do a couple of turns and have it fall back on the ground. Wind makes things even worse. I have been flying RC planes for quite some time now and own a number of electric trainers and a nitro model. So for someone with no or little RC flying experience, its got to be even more difficult flying this thing. Not recommended at all.
