4.0 out of 5 stars My kid (husband) loved it!
My husband saw a commercial for this while watching TV and joking said he wanted one for his birthday... so of course I bought it. Now he likes to pull it out when we have company so everyone can "oooh" and "ahhh". The cats are also big fans and love to watch it race up and down the wall. Definitely not educational... but I'm sure the makers never advertisted it as...

5.0 out of 5 stars great toy!!!, December 4, 2009

Works very well on our hardwood floors. Also climbs walls with no problems, even works well on ceilings. Surfaces must be flat & smooth. Car itself is very light & would probably be too fragile for a very small child. My 6 & 8 yr olds love this toy, even the adults want a turn when we have it out. Charger is in the handle, very convenient not to have to use an outlet to recharge.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun in the right enviorment, April 19, 2010

this toy is very fun under the right conditions.to get it to stick to the wall the wall has be a smooth surfuce and the car will get stuck on any uneveness like a nail hole or any small inditation in the wall.on the ground the floor needs to be sweept before using it any pet hair or other dust and stuff will cuase the car to stop also the floor has to be smooth.wont run on carpet or floortiles with any inditations between them like in some kitchen tiles and stuff.but once you find a nice surfuce that the car will run on it is a very fun toy to play with.it dosnt last as long if your running up walls as it does if its on the ground.i have only had it a few days so dont know how long the 6AA batteries in the controller last.but is a fun toy just do some shopping around and you can find it in the 20-30 doller range.

This item slipped and fell off our wall repeatedly. My son hasn't touched it since the first try because it doesn't work at all.

He does use the laser to make the dog chase the laser dot. That is not worth the price though! YOu can buy a laser pointer for a few dollars and get the same level of fun.

This toy doesn't work as well as it is described to. My son played with it once for maybe a minute. He was really excited about it too. It's sad to see your child dissappointed when it was something they were looking forward to. We will try it again but we aren't going to get our hopes up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Basically sucks, December 26, 2009

This could be fun but it doesn't really follow the laser that well and when it does you have to be standing two foot from the wall or directly over it on the floor.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 6 yr old son. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually lived up to our expectations! Of course there were some requirements, we found that the flatter the wall the better the navigating, wallpapered walls worked best also. It could have a little better traction, but all in all we are very happy with the Air Hogs Laser Zero Gravity Mini.

This thing is close to being really cool. Our walls have a very slight texture to them, the texture you get from the roller that applies the paint, that's it. So we have pretty smooth walls. The car works great for about 1 minute when it is fully charged. After that it only sort of works, it stays on the wall but it will not climb up the wall and it behaves erratically. That one minute is really cool it can make it to the top of our 18ft vault and back down but then the fun is over. It runs great on our counter tops which are really smooth but it struggles on our hardwood floors. We have laminate floors which are pretty dang smooth and very clean. If it worked great on the floor I would keep it but the laser guidance is just not that fun to work with, a standard car is better on the floor. All in all it is a great idea but the product needs a little more work to be great for standard walls. So after mucking with this for about two hours it is back in the box and will not make it under the Christmas tree. If you have really really smooth walls or a great big piece of glass or metal to run this on it would be awesome!!

The whole family has had a great time playing with this thing. The fan is a little loud (wouldn't it be neat to sneak up on someone with this thing?). It will lose track of the laser if it gets too far away (circa 12 feet or so). We drove it all over our walls and worked great. Could not try the ceiling since it is popcorned (obviously this will not work on a popcorn ceiling). Drove the dog nuts with it.
