I bought this toy 5 days ago for my 7-year-old son. The main reason for the buy was the car running on walls and the ceiling.

Unfortunately, the car did not do this. I would stand on the wall of ceiling. Apply the laser and it just fell down. This happened even after I wiped down dry wall and wiped down plaster walls. Nothing helped.

The manufacturer was very responsive to the problem. On a Sunday, their customer service line answered within five minutes and effectively and efficiently tried to help us make the car work. When nothing helped that, the company offered to exchange our toy for one of their other products. I do not think they could have handled the situation any better. It is too bad the cool idea was not executed better. Nothing is perfect, and the company handled the problem about as well as it could have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really cool - kids love it!, December 28, 2009

This car/remote work pretty well - the only drawback is the car's charge runs out VERY fast - within less than an hour of playing. So we are constantly charging the car with the remote (which is pretty handy). Other than that, it's fun, the kids love it, especially on the walls. It doesn't go too high though and it's not totally accurate with respect to following the laser. All in all, it's one of the favorite holiday toys.

This toy would hardly do anything. I got three becouse I thought the boys could race them on the the ceiling. Our ceilings are textured so they would not work. The boys played with them for about an hour and they have never touched them again.

I purchased this toy for a Christmas gift for my nephew. I was super excited as they were sold out in all of the stores. I really had no idea what the toy was or how it worked, but the reviews online were great. For the money I spent, I thought I'd be getting a quality toy. This was a piece of junk that amounted to no more than a rubber type car that went a few feet up a wall (if it had no texture on it). My nephew hated it, and I recommended it to a friend (before knowing what it was) and she got it for her husband. He told her to take it back. Next time I guess I'll do more research.

I was amazed to see that it actually worked! It sticks to the walls and follows the laser pointer. Starts to drop when the batteries run low, but will drive around on the floor fine for a while. Great gift since it does what no other cars will do.

My son loves this toy! Everyone that comes over to the house has to see his car drive on the wall. Kinda fragile, but overall a really cool toy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea... Terrible execution, December 28, 2009

I was very skeptical when my kids asked for these for christmas. I am so leary of claims made in advertisements for kids on toys, as we have experienced so many dissapointments in the past. This was yet another example of this. The concept is great. The cars are very light and made of foam rubber. When set to climb on the wall or ceiling, it uses a vacuum or reverse fan to suck it to the wall surface. This works very well, though quite loud. the problem is that the car only occasionally recognizes the laser beam you are supposed to use to guide it. Most of the time it will only recognize it for a second or two and then just stop. I experienced the same result on the floor where it does not use the suction. Big dissapointment. Don't waste your money. I bought two for my boys, two more for my nephews, and 1 extra just in case. They are all going back. The hassle is the least of my worries, but when the kids get let down by these false claims, especially on Christmas, it really is a shame. I wish more consumers would hold toy manufacturers and the retailers willing to sell this junk accountable. I have actually had great experiences with Air Hogs products in past, but this is a total failure in my opinion.

This toy was a present for my kid on Christmas and I couldn't have it.
