5.0 out of 5 stars Should have bought one sooner
This hose is extrememly lightweight and flexible. I finally bought one a few weeks ago thinking it would be nice to use when doing the trim work in the house. I have found that it is indescribeably better than the 3/8" rubber hose I had been using, and I really wish I had it at the beginning of the project. It does not kink as easily, is much more flexible, and thus...

1.0 out of 5 stars Major Disappointment
I will start off by saying the only good thing about this hose is it is very lightweight. The rest is terrible. It comes as all other hoses do, wrapped in a tight circle. The problem is that it never relaxes and while you are working, it tries to roll itself back up into a tight little circle. This hose gets wrapped up and caught on itself because of this so when you...

This hose is extrememly lightweight and flexible. I finally bought one a few weeks ago thinking it would be nice to use when doing the trim work in the house. I have found that it is indescribeably better than the 3/8" rubber hose I had been using, and I really wish I had it at the beginning of the project. It does not kink as easily, is much more flexible, and thus much easier to drag along behind you without hanging up on things. When working in confined areas such as a closet or hallway, it is less likely to scuff the walls and damage freshly textured and painted sheetrock. It is very easy to coil up and put away when finished, as well. This hose is like having an extension cord attached to your air nailer, only I think it is even lighter weight than an extension cord. If you use air tools more than an hour in the next year, you will be happy you bought this hose.

I do lots of roofing and general framing. This hose is the best I ever had, especially in cold conditions.

Excellent hose, very light weight, and kink free. Also VERY durable, we ran this hose across razor-sharp wire mesh all weekend and not a single leak. Other than the price, the only complaint I have is the ease with which it tangles when coiling, but if you have a reel, this is the hose to get.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST AIR HOSE FOR CARPENTERS, May 18, 2004
This review is from: Air Pro PUR-14X050 1/4-inch by 50 Polyurethane 250 PSI Air Hose (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have used many different brands of air hose for my 20 years carpentry works. Conventional hoses are heavy and also not easy to roll after work. I bought it a year ago from Amazon. Since I have used it, I have never taken old hoses anymore. This is very durable, light and easy to handle with nail guns. Price is much higher than conventional hose, but it is worth. Excellent product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why did I wait so long for this great air hose?, October 21, 2005
This review is from: Air Pro PUR-14X050 1/4-inch by 50 Polyurethane 250 PSI Air Hose (Tools & Home Improvement)
These polyurethane hoses are great to use. No tangles, kinks or heaviness. The air guns are easier to handle when the hose doesn't fight you. Even though mine is a 1/4" insead of 3/8", it has kept up with the fast pace of roofing nailers. Enjoy.

Well it looks as if someone made a hose that will not wrap
around your feet. This light weight hose makes it easy to use your nail gun. As a finish carpenter I use my hose 5-6 days a week and this hose lays flat and stays out of your way. This product is by far the best air hose on the market today.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good hose... But get the fat one, June 11, 2006
This review is from: Air Pro PUR-14X050 1/4-inch by 50 Polyurethane 250 PSI Air Hose (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have the 1/4 & 3/8 versions of this hose. Both are bombproof and excellent. After 2 years neither has presented a single working problem. I prefer the 3/8 hose simply because it seems to store more easily and unwind without the granny knots.

5.0 out of 5 stars A high quality air hose., September 25, 2005
This review is from: Air Pro PUR-14X050 1/4-inch by 50 Polyurethane 250 PSI Air Hose (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've used just about every type of air hose over the years - some good some pure junk. This air hose has excellent construction, obviously well made and you can easily see and feel the quality of the air hose.

The hose is not flimsy and when you roll it up, the hose does not collapse, fold or bend like thin wall air hoses do. Yet the hose is not heavy like rubber air hoses and is easy to handle, use and easy to roll up and unroll. The hose does not kink and does everything well (like a top quality hose should).

A hose is not just a hose (try one of the cheap ones and you'll know exactly what I mean. You can pay less for an air hose and chances are that you will end up having to replace it (several times over). This hose is not cheap in price or quality. Buy this hose and you won't have to worry if this hose is going to fail on you. Five stars!

I will start off by saying the only good thing about this hose is it is very lightweight. The rest is terrible. It comes as all other hoses do, wrapped in a tight circle. The problem is that it never relaxes and while you are working, it tries to roll itself back up into a tight little circle. This hose gets wrapped up and caught on itself because of this so when you try to stretch it out to its supposed length, it is nearly impossible to do. God forbid you are trying to use two hoses at once for two separate guns. They just entangle with each other and double the problem.
I would rather lug around a heavier rubber hose than deal with this one.

Your air tools are heavy enough without having to lug around a 15 lb rubber air hose. Get one of these instead.
These are very lightweight, flexible, and I've never heard of one bursting. Hint: If the polyurethane hose gets too "curly," (like when you pull it out of the package for the first time) have a helper grab one end and you the other. Do a tug-of-war for a minute. Magically, when it's held in tension then let loose, the hose is straight and ready to go.
