Happy with product. Pump leaked at first, but after I tightened the nut have had no problems. Have used to transport gas from gas station to home, which sticker says I should not do, but works fine if properly secured. Will slosh gas out of vent if transported when full. Leaves about 2 gallons in tank when pumped out. It takes around 400 cranks to empty tank. I initially tried pumping out of vehicle gas tank unsuccessfully, but may not have been properly primed or hose may not have reached fuel level. Have not tried again, so cannot confirm efficacy. Rotate pump opposite direction for suction. Gauge is plastic and not highly accurate, but gives an idea how much is in tank. Well made, minimal assembly. FM approval is top notch for safety. I think it will get the job done for a long time.

I purchased this gas caddy a couple of years ago. I wanted a way to store more gas without buying more plastic gas cans and running to the gas station all the time. I have a few acres to mow, a motorcycle and an ATV to fuel. This is a nice way to avoid weekly trips to the gas station. In general, it does the job. However, there are some problems. One, if you turn the crank too fast, it starts dripping gas out of the crank. By too fast I mean more than a steady slow pace. It still pumps fairly quickly at that pace. The second problem is that if you fill it too full (don't try to put the full 30 gallons in, stop at 29) gas flows out of the silver bell shaped vent on the top without warning. Then you have a mess to clean up. The third item is that the level guage has to be played with to get an accurate reading. It seems to stick alot. With those accomodations, this can be a good method to store more than 5 gallons of gasoline at a time.

Gasoline sloshes out of the vent and gets on everything. Vent system is a very poor design. I would not be surprised if people get burned badly or killed with this equipment. I took mine back.
