Easy to use, melts off the calcium deposits if you follow the directions, but don't wait too long between cleanings or you'll have to use multiple applications.

I had tried several other descaler products and found them to work only superficially. It always required a long soak and then it was never really clean. The light indicating the unit needed to be cleaned would back on in no time. This stuff cleaned it perfectly with one application. I'm just going to keep a supply of these on hand now.

This cleaner did exactly what was expected. I had some green mold like substance in my humidifier (Air-O-Swiss). After using this product, the mold was gone and so was a moldy odor that was coming from the device.

Its a simple and easy way to get that hard crust of deposits from the hard water here out of the humidifier.
I have started only using bottled water for my humidifier though, since the water here is full of minerals and deposits. That helps me minimize the cleaning effort and replacing the cartridge too often.
Still having this descaler helps get whatever does settle in out in an easy way.

We have an Air-O-swiss humidifier that suddenly stopped working. We took off the tank and noticed that the humidifier (i.e. nubulizer) was either not working or producing very little mist. We read that the problem could be solved by removing the calcium deposits. We used two applications of ezcal (first time, just warm tap water. second time with 160F water as directed). Fixed the humidifier! Make sure to follow the directions and use 160F (hot!) water.

Used this a few times and not sure if it really works or not. I usually end up wiping the base of the humidifier out with Clorox wipes anyway. I may stop buying it because I don't really see that it makes that much of a difference especially if you try to keep up with the cleaning schedule of the humidifier.....every two weeks. These could be a bit expensive for that.

I've tried cleaning my humidifier with vinegar, soap, etc. Nothing has gotten rid of the musty smell coming from my humidifier like this packet. You add this to about a liter of hot water, pour it into the base of your humidifier (I have an Air-o-swiss), let sit for 30 mins and pour out. When I turn on my humidifier, the air smells fresh and clean.

Keeps my AOS clean and efficiently pumping out humidity all winter long. It is a reasonable investment to keep an expensive humidifier working right all winter long.

This is as simple as a product gets....it helps keep your expensive Air-O-Swiss investment running in tip top shape. We have multiple humidifiers around our home by Air-O-Swiss and we have well water where we live. Naturally the units can get mucked up pretty quickly...but using a pack of this stuff once every 2-3 months keeps them running perfectly fine...
