If ever there was a sweeter more sweeping epic fantasy anime we'd like to know. Make way for AIR the TV series fans have been crying for since it first aired on Japanese TV more than two years ago. Volume 4 of the Air series contains a recap of the anime along with two episode specials that serve to fill some of the gaps in the "Air in Summer" arc. The main purpose of these episodes isn't so much to further the story, but make you understand the bonds that developed between Kanna, Ryuuya, and Uraha as they traveled through the mountains. At this, it does a wonderful job in allowing the viewers to see how each character ultimately changed by the time they reached Kanna's mother in the previous episodes.

That said, they really are wonderful to watch, though it can be made a bit painful, knowing what happens to the travelers later on. Still, if you liked the Air anime, then this DVD is definitely worth looking at.

Consider the fourth disc to Air Tv just a bonus disc. The first three disc's are what make this anime great. If you have already seen the first three dvd's, it leaves the series as it should. Do not expect this dvd to further the story. The first episode is a summary of the first three dvd's, and the other two episodes are extended scenes of the girls past. It was a fine dvd, but the anime really ends on disc three.

Well, this disc is a recap. If you want to review what you watched on the last three disks, this is a good thing. Seeing the storylines play out in three (instead of 12) episodes will help you see how they link together.

But, if you just got done watching the other three disks and saw how the stories thread together early, this fourth one will seem like a waste of money because you pull nothing new out of it.
