Air-Tite holders are made from an acrylic plastic with a non-yellowing agent to ensure the crystal clear display of your coins for any length of time. All materials used in the production of the holders are totally inert and PVC free. The Direct Fit holders are designed to securely hold and display your mint condition coins without a ring. Coins in less than mint condition might rattle around due to wear and should be held in a ring holder for secure storage.

I like the way the Air-Tite H40 feels in the hand. The coin feels natural in it. The American Eagle will not wobble around in this holder or rattle. The clear edge allows viewing of the coin reeds.

After starting to collect silver coins I realized that to keep the looking as they did from the mint, I would need to protect then from myself. These air-tite cases are the best protection you can get! The H40 model fits my American Silver Eagles perfectly. They come is 2 pieces that fit together very tight (as in, good luck getting them off). These capsules are very durable but have their limits. I always carry a Silver Eagle on me. One time the coin I carry fell out of my wallet at about waist high, only to land on its edge onto solid concrete. Fine silver isn't the strongest metal yet the coin survived UNHARMED! The capsule however, was killed in the line of duty and buried with honors. With the point of impact on the capsule broken and nowhere else, I was very impressed. These capsules will protect your coins from everyday wear to even your most uncoordinated "I hope this doesn't end up on failblog" moments. They are serious armor for your coins!

I was looking for secure safe storage for my Silver Eagles. These Air-Tite capsules are the bees knees! The halves of the holder lock together very tightly, and protect the payload very well.

My biggest concern before buying these is how well they actually fit the coin. I'm happy to report that they fit the coin perfectly and do not rattle at all. If you are looking to protect your Silver Eagle collection, look no further. These holders are great!
