This is one of the best book for beginners (like me). It not only provides basic information of various air tools, it also has many charts that helps you determine what tools are best for your needs. The layout of the book and use of photos and graphs are excellent.

This book deserves 5 stars for being the only reference book about Air tools and Air compressors around. The author covers a great deal of topics, including compressors and the many tools available. However I found many sections to be too brief to truly help me as a novice. I still recommend this book whole-heartedly. It gives great basic information, just don't expect all your questions to be answered.

This book is a welcome guide to air tools for the beginner. I fault it only for being a bit thin. Future editions should discuss topics that are left out of the current issue - among them being rotary screw compressors (eg Kaeser), rivet guns, rivet squeezers, etc.
