EXACTLY the kind of unique case that this superb computer deserves. My new MacBook Air fits perfectly in this slim, good looking 'envelope'. The MacBook Air is light enough, that the limited padding is more than enough to protect your precious cargo from most bumps, scrapes, and even short drops. And it just looks MONEY, what with the soft, butter-colored leather. Even better are the astonished and envious looks you get when you pull out your computer in public. I have occasionally left this 'envelope' briefly unguarded, on many a public table, simply because until you pull out the computer, it really just looks like a standard manila envelope. Total 'Hide In Plain Sight". Nobody is going to break into your car just because they see this lying on your back seat.

The leather is exquisite, a soft marbled butter color, and the black felt lining inside is very classy. It has Velcro to keep the flap closed, making the red string unnecessary (and a little long), but it DOES complete the masquerade.

A truly premium product, worth every penny, especially when compared to the standard leather cases you see in stores, which tend to cost between $60-$80. I don't know about the perforated holes on the back, I assume for ventilation, but who leaves their notebook on, while it's encased in leather? It would still overheat. I might just put a mailing label over the holes, to further disguise the case. Except it looks too nice to put a sticker on it...

Very secure and great all around protection, in a very clever casing. Only downside is its price, but you really get what you pay for!

Love it! be careful if you have little kids. My daughter pulled the cord (which i often dont lace up) and the whole thing came crashing down and dented my macbook air.

Otherwise its nice and soft, and fits like a glove.

With the Speck case hardcover its a snug fit.

The product is very good and doesn't disappoint. However it came from Amazon shoved in a box too small for it: how do you fit a 13.5"x10.25 flat envelope into a box measuring 12.25"x9.5? By pushing it like a crepe so it looked like DOA,damaged on arrival. Since it is made of excellent leather, it recovered its flat shape, but after receiving a book floating without protection in a box too large for it, there is a problem at Amazon Packaging, so buyer of this item beware.

I bought this as a gift for an Apple fan. It was perfect -- he loved it. It looks just like the manila envelope Steve Jobs used to introduce the Air. However, it's made for the discerning user. The leather is very high quality -- plus, there is enough padding to protect your investment.

I get a lot of compliments on this, and enjoy using it. Well padded and has good workmanship. Seems to hold up well.

Awesome product!!!! Great quality material. Fast shipping. Good Price compared to other sites, but overall kind of expensive for type of item. It is unique though, and my boyfriend loves it, and people confuse it all the time for the fake envelope:)

13 inch macbook air fits inside perfectly. Good padding and closes securely with both velcro and the red string wrap. I have recommended this to friends with the same computer.

A must have for you who have the macbook air! It's a head turner! Has a nice fluffy inside so your laptop can rest "comfy" inside and don't scratch. I love it!

the reviews claiming how regal and baller this manilla envelope macbook air case was made me eager to get it! i had a cheaper, thinner "macvelope" that i actually prefer over this one. the leather feels cheap and the case is quite bulky, occupying more room in my bag than i'd like and defeating the macbook air's principal selling point--slimness. the case actually feels kinda heavy. i don't like this case much but i was abroad for a while and got it when i returned and can't return it. le sigh. save your $50 and get something else.
