not what you would hope for,
By Ashley (New Jersey) - See all my reviews

I have to admit, when I started the game, it looked really awesome. I kept playing it. I got to the third level and just realized it was not a good game. It is hard and the music is horrible. I would recommend Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 over this any day. I don't think you should get this game. Save your money. The levels are dumb, the graphics are ok, the music and sound is horrible, and the story line is lame. It is just like any other sports game, where you have objectives. The objectives are really dumb. The board doesn't go as high as you would think. It is like a few inches from the ground. I thought I would be able to fly with the character. Doesn't turn out that way. The mobility is not too good. The game seems a bit old, too. I just don't want anyone to be dissappointed the way I am.

Airblade: A Cool Hoverboard Game,
By Keith Stephens (Spring, TX USA) - See all my reviews

I think that Airblade is very cool. Although the controls can be confusing at times the overall gameplay is superb. With the story-mode, this game is a first in its field. Also, who doesn't like riding on a hoverboard like Marty McFly? Overall this game is a great buy. Since the controls are a little hard to handle I rate this game a 4.

An awesome game,

I don't know why other people say this game was so horrible. I enjoyed and still do enjoy this game througly. Sure, it may not have such attention to detail like Tony Hawk, but it really is an awesome game. The story in the story mode is iffy...but you'd expect that from a sports game. One of the most enjoyable features of the game is the fact that the airblade does not touch the ground. You are free to defy gravity and pull off kickass combos, leaving Tony Hawk standing on the ground gawking at you. But...the most enjoyable feature of the game is the multiplayer. Especially the multitap support. Eight players trying to pull off the best combos? Insane. This is an awesome game that I would strongly suggest that you get. It's well worth it.

AIRBLADE RULES,

This review is from: Airblade (Video Game)
Airblade was one of the top ten games (in my life). The game is hard and has great graphics. even though the Last level of the game (it took me a week to get there)is all about time. This is really close to Tony Hawk but who cares about that there is alot of action and adventure spining and jumping and the songs ROCK. If u are a person who really likes to win well this is a game for u to give u a pat on the back. Plus u would like a memory card for this i lost it and then i found it at the last day when i was sopposed to give it back. WELL GOOD LUCK IF U BUY THIS GAME.

Airblade!,

A few weeks ago I bought this game, and it is awsome! The other reviewers think it [stinks], but they dont know anything! The graphics are relly good,it has a plot(it's not that good but hey its a sports game so give it some slack), and very, very detailed levels. You can trick on almost anything! the controls take a little gettin used to(as with all games), but after a few sessions in frestyle mode, you'll be a pro!P.S. the multiplayer games are tight(theres lots of different ones) and the can hold up to 8 players! Overall= Very Good game

<- IS MY RATING FOR THIS GAME,
A Kid's Review

FIRST OF ALL, FOR THE PRICE, THIS GAME IS WORTH THE MONEY. THE GAME IS SOME WHAT HARD, MEANING YOU WILL LOSE AT THE GAME MORE THAN ONCE. BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT FOR SOME REASON, LOSING AT A GAME SEEMS FUN TO MOST VIDEO GAME PLAYERS. (OK I'LL ADMIT THE IDEA OF LOSING SOUNDS LAME, BUT LOSING IS WHAT COMES FROM PLAYING A HARD GAME LIKE A ZELDAź GAME.) I HAVE NOT BEATEN THE 3RD LEVEL OF AIRBLADE YET BUT, I KNOW THERE IS HOPE AND I HAVE BEATEN ALL OF THE FACTERS IN LEVEL 3 (I JUST DIDN'T GET TO THE GATE WHEN IT WAS OPEN, DON'T ASK) THIS GAME ALSO HAS A LOT OF OPTIONS, LIKE THE MAKING OF AIRBLADE MINI MOVIE. IN CLOSING, THIS GAME CAN BE A LOT OF FUN IF YOU LET IT SHINE IT IT'S OWN WAY

Terrible if you like Tony Hawk...,

This game is dirt cheap used, but in the first 5 seconds of playing it I couldn't stand the sloppy floaty control compared to any other skating game. If you like skating games, you will be very annoyed at this. I tried to like it for 15 minutes in free skate mode and the whole time I was thinking that I'd much rather put in any Tony Hawk game.
Also, the opening menu music was a very annoying song and it was used in the free skate the whole time too.

Good Gameplay, Bad Music,
A Kid's Review

I think that this game is fun if you enjoy playing Tony Hawk. I mean, it really is like skateboarding, except that the board doesn't have wheels. This game is sort of fun, but not too challenging. It's not a good game to buy if you are a hardcore gamer. If you are one, then I suppose that you should rent it. Anyway, let me tell you that you can do flip tricks on the ground, and that you can't to manuals. But the really weird thing is that you can grab poles and swing around them. The major drawback is the music! They soooo should've took REAL songs and put them in the game, and not these annoying songs that get on your nerves. So, I'm giving it 3 stars!

Not so bad, but far from great,
This review is from: Airblade (Video Game)
I rented this about a week ago. I had it for five days and didn't play it as much as I usually would play a rented game, probably because it wasn't that great. The concept was kinda interesting and the box art looked cool, so I figured I'd give it a try.The controls take a bit getting used to, as the game is suprisingly much different from any snowboarding or skateboarding game out there. A few hours into it, though, and you should pretty much have the hang of it. The graphics, although nothing special, were pretty nice looking. The actual airboard your character rides on is a cool looking thing, and from I remember the characters and levels were crisp and great looking. The sound, however, was pretty damn annoying. When you fall off your board there are a small amount of different grunts that the character makes, all of which annoyed the hell out of me for some reason. Most of the small phrases the main character and his enemies blurted out were annoying as well. I definately recommend one rents this game before going out and buying it based on the cover or the hover-boarding idea. The game was fun, I suppose, but not something I'd want to own.

When i saw the adds for airblade i was dazzled. It had Brillinat graphics awesome gameplay i thought i had to get it. I had borrowed it from a friend and then gone to another friends house to play. My friend said it would be a cheap copy of Tony Hawk i didn't believe him though. We started playing good graphics nice storyline impossible mission. The game had good garphics but apart from that it [is no good]. You go like 5cm above ground you have to do tricks and get energy to jump high and gind and the mission are quite corny. The controls [are] pretty much [worthless]. The game trys to get the feel of Tony Hawk with the grinds and tricks but it failed horiibly. I feel pity for the fool how purchases this game. Its terrible abosulute terribel god forbid them making a sequel.
