5.0 out of 5 stars If you want to jump from a C-141B jet......, August 20, 2000

This review is from: Airborne Assault [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is THE best documentary video on the modern U.S. Army Airborne because it:

1. Shows the static-line parachute deployment sequence

2. Show heavy drop of the M551 Sheridan light tank

3. Interviews key leaders in the 82d Airborne Division

4. Places it all in the context of the valorous U.S. Army Airborne in battle past, present and future

Because this video documents the jump sequence so well, it should be required viewing by ALL students on orientation Friday at U.S. Army Airborne school at Fort Benning, Ga. If you care about the defense of America buy this video and send a copy to the 1-507th PIR who run America's jump school (they need a copy for each training company) and see to it that the dead time on Friday afternoon is put to constructive use other than imparting fear into the students. This video will answer a lot of their questions and give them the proper historical appreciation of the Airborne since we are too cheap to use those funds Fort Benning wins each year for being the best Army post in the world to have an actual C-130 mock-up for jump training with actual seats (not the wooden facsimiles) or update our history and supply them it along with things to memorize to each student as a hand-out like we once did.

Airborne!
