I don't usually write reviews, but there seems to be a lack of information on any of these regulators and I'm hoping to help others make a decision.
First, I did not purchase this regulator on Amazon, (sorry, Amazon, I still love yah) but it is the same model from the same vendor. Second, I am a beginner level airbrush artist and new to compressed air tools. I do,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Instructions?
I guess it's a good product, it didn't include any instructions on how to install or use it. I guess this is not for a novice airbrusher. Any issues are with the product and not the merchant, flawless delivery and order system.

This review is from: Airbrush Compressor AIR REGULATOR Moisture Filter/Brush
I don't usually write reviews, but there seems to be a lack of information on any of these regulators and I'm hoping to help others make a decision.
First, I did not purchase this regulator on Amazon, (sorry, Amazon, I still love yah) but it is the same model from the same vendor. Second, I am a beginner level airbrush artist and new to compressed air tools. I do, however, have a lot of experience with tools in general.
The regulator came with no instructions and even though I should have known better, I hooked it up backwards. There is an arrow (triangle) on the front. This is where the gauge goes. The input goes toward the back of the arrow and the output is the side where the arrow points. Once I figured that out everything was good. I used teflon tape on all my connections and I have zero leaks. When adjusting the pressure, you may need to momentarily turn on the airbrush. This enables the gauge to start reading.
Also, I purchased a few items from TCP Global, and they were a pleasure to deal with.

It seems some people are not sure how to hook these up. It doesn't come with instructions or diagrams but with a little knowledge it should be intuitive enough. Here are some tips:

There is a little arrow molded into the plastic. This is the direction of airflow. Be sure to get it right or the pressure control wont work.

Use Teflon tape to seal the male threads (Available at all hardware stores in the plumbing section). When looking at the male threaded opening wrap the tape clockwise so when screwing it on in a clockwise direction the tape will smooth down and not try to come off. Stretch it on.

After assembly check for leaks with diluted dish soap painted on the connections. With pressure in the tank any leak will make bubbles.

Mine came with 1/4" female connections in both sides of the body and two 1/4" male to 1/8" male adapters. Mine also came with a mounting bracket so it could be mounted near your work station away from the compressor with additional tubing.

The water remover must be hanging down. Clean it periodically by pushing the chrome drain plug on the bottom up. The air pressure forces any accumulated water out.

All in all a good product for the money. No complaints. The pressure control is very smooth and adjusts from zero to at least 60 psi (the highest I use)

Hope that helps.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, just like it should., September 25, 2010
This review is from: Airbrush Compressor AIR REGULATOR Moisture Filter/Brush
This little thing works very well for its price. Great for airbrushing. As has been stated, the item does not have instructions. There is two arrows on it pointing in the direction of one of the connectors on it. The way the arrows are pointing is where you connect your airbrush hose/power tool things. The way that the arrows are not pointing connects to the actual air compressor.

Make sure you test it with your power tool/airbrush already connected to see if its working. If you do not have your power tool/airbrush connected, the air regulator bar won't move. If you do not have your tool available at the moment to test it, simply press your finger against the place where you'd put your air hose to see the regulator bar kick into place and adjust as you please. There were leaks with mine, but some teflon tape wrapped around the male connectors will fix this in a jiff, just put extra if you're still having problems. Also, like the poster before me said, make sure to apply the teflon tape clockwise to prevent it from coming off when you screw in your connectors.

Very easy to install (read other reviews about having no instructions if you need help). Works very well considering the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work, November 24, 2010

This review is from: Airbrush Compressor AIR REGULATOR Moisture Filter/Brush
Been using this item to filter out the air for my airbrush. Have had it hooked up to my school's compressed air system and it regulates the air well enough. Haven't seen any excess moisture or anything coming out of the bleed valve, so it's hard to say if it's been working properly or not. However, the stream i get with my airbrush is fine so either the filter works well enough not to be dripping moisture or the system I'm using already has a filter hooked up at the compressor.
