Jim Anderson was born in Madison Wisconsin in 1948. He grew up in San Bernardino, CA. After moving to Sacramento in 1965, he attended American River College. He has also attended California State University.
After working as a fire fighter in Sacramento County for one year, he enlisted in the US Air Force as a fire fighter. He worked most of his fire protection career at McClellan AFB, home of the Sacramento Air Material Area.
At this busy industrial complex, he obtained hands on experience with hazardous materials, aircraft composite maqterials, and other aspects of the fire protection environment; eventually reaching the rank of Battalion Chief.
Jim has taught at the community college level and has been a guest instructor at various campuses in the University of California system.
He has been a lecturer at various aircraft and hazardous materials conferences throughout the USA and Canada.
Jim enjoys playing rock music on his bass guitar, photography, hiking, and teaching.
