If you want cleaner air while you drive, this is a good solution. Unlike most filter systems, this unit has two pounds of activated charcoal to remove many of the components of air pollution. It noticeably cleans the air. A few times I have forgotten to turn it on and the smell of car exhaust reminded me it was off. It also has particle filtration. This is no cheaply built unit. It is made of durable metal construction. I have had mine for a year and had no problems.

The are only a few downsides. It takes up some space in your car. I place mine on the passenger floor board so the air blows toward me and my wife still has room for her legs. It makes some noise but I believe it is relatively quiet for the amount of air it blows. It has two speeds and the slower speed is fairly quiet. The other potential downside is the price along with the need to replace filters. They recommend replacement every 6 months although I go a little longer on that.

I was very happy to find the product and would not want to be without it. I strongly recommend it to anyone wanting cleaner air in the car.

I have noticed a big difference between Aireox and my other air purifier. Aireox works immediately to rid the air of chemical odors, smog, gas fumes, etc., whereas the other, larger one takes a long time to even begin rounding up offensive smells. It's been so great in the car, that I bought an adaptor at Radio Shack so I can use it next to me in the house after a contractor has painted or just to clear the air. Aireox is sturdy, easy to carry, and simple to use. Only one filter to replace after a long time. It is one of the few products I have purchased online that I am perfectly pleased with.

I purchased this product because I had heard that it does a great job of taking care of new-car smell. As it turns out, for me, it only sort of works, and is slow to remove odors/fumes. I still have to drive with my windows open for a while to air out the car before I can turn it on and have it do anything. Also, it only sustains a better quality of air if I don't have my A/C or heat turned on. When those come on, they vent car smell into the car (because all the parts are new and still off-gassing-- I have a Subaru Outback), and the Aireox can't handle the extra load. It seems to work fine if it's almost right on top of you. I've noticed that when I place it onto the floor of the passenger side and I'm the passenger, it can blow towards me and the air smells much better. As someone who is really sensitive to fumes, I was expecting more out of this little device.

This air purifier works pretty good but could come with a 3inch male fitting for ducting attached to it as well as optional ducting accessories. It would be nice if a quieter unit were made with more air flow. It also would be nice if the unit came with real HEPA filters.
