5.0 out of 5 stars ACL problems, balance problems, this is for you!!!!!
I have been using this item in PT for help with my balance. It does help. It's hard but then as you improve, it becomes easier. I also found using this that since an ACL injury 9+ yrs ago, that at times I walked being very cautious with that leg. Since using this pad, it has forced me to strenghten those muscles in my knee, so I am not favoring it anymore!!! after 9...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the same quality as the Bebalaced pad
This item, purchased from "Stay At Home Dads, We Know Games!!!", came without a protective box or instructions. When I used the same item in a professional therapy setting, both were included.

In addition, the quality of the item was lower than the authentic Bebalanced pad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helped my ankle, August 30, 2007

I started using this in PT for a chronically sprained ankle. The ankle was really weak so it kept spraining, but this mat really helped it. In fact, after I got lazy and stopped using it, I sprained my ankle again... that didn't happen while I was using it. It's also an exercise that gives you really fast, noticeable improvement, unlike other PT exercises. I would also use it to improve balance for athletics if I were so inclined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Airex Balance Pad - Great Product, February 11, 2010

This product was first introduced to me during physical rehab for shoulder surgery. I use it primarily for padding for kneeling exercises, or where I must support my weight with my forearms (for planks, etc). It is durable and of sufficient thickness and density to provide the right mix of support and pliability for all of my exercises. Highly recommend.

This was purchased for my mom who just had her hip replaced. She loves it, and uses it to both exercise and sit comfortably. She raves about it all the time and I will be adding it to our home gym shortly.

We ordered this because my husband used in rehab from a stroke. It's the same quality that they had at physical therapy. He's very happy with it.

This product was bought for my husband--he has a very weak ankle and uses this to strengthen it. Seems to be a very good product for working on balance and is helping strengthen his ankle too.

After an SI Joint fixation/fusion surgery ( with a double piriformis severing as well ) , I needed a good cushion for sitting as I recovered. A friend suggested the Airex Balance Pad . It works great to sit on in front of the computer, doing paperwork etc. And... I will also be able to use it in my home PT exercises ! Win Win !! ( it could be a wee bit softer but it still works well for me ! )

I absolutely LOVE this product for balance training at my physical therapy clinic. Its a bit pricey and Ive seen how over time, it starts to crack on the surface... but I have not found anything more durable and cost efficient. So for now, this is the best I could find.

4.0 out of 5 stars Assessment of Comcussion, June 10, 2011

I have been using the Airex Balance Pad as part of the assessment protocol for athletes (children and adults) who have suffered concussions. The pad does exactly what it is supposed to: challenging you to maintain your balance under difficult conditions. I recommend this pad and would purchase it again.
