I bought this to protect my Canon SD1000 Digital Elph. It is a hard case with a soft interior and velcro strap to hold the camera in place. It does an amazing job of protecting the camera while not being bulky. It fits in small purses (though not tiny clutch ones). My only complaint is that though there is a net inside where it looks like you should be able to store an extra battery or memory card, the case won't shut if you try to keep them in there. Not a big enough flaw to lower my rating though. This is the best case for Canon SD1000s.
