By A Customer
"...a well researched and prepared book which will prove of benefit to many. It comes highly recommended." Journal for Civil Aviation Training

"By highlighting changed requirements and emphasizing sound teaching principles, this book is packed full of valuable advice and techniques for the training pilot and indeed for all others wishing to improve their value as a team member in the flight deck of a modern airliner. Whilst it is not a substitute for formal training in instructional techniques, this book is essential reading for every trainer and should be available in every training department." Aerospace

5.0 out of 5 stars Pilot Training Companion, May 5, 2007

This is a great book that provides a comprehensive coverage of the knowledge and skills required in airline pilot training. The book provides the pilot trainer with the tools and techniques that should help in producing well trained pilots with not only the hard technical skills but also the critical soft skills such as effective communication, dealing with difficult trainees and the team approach.

The book is well written and is very useful and handy for the training pilot. It has loads of accessible, relevant and important information that makes it indispensable for those involved in pilot training. The important subject of human factors for pilots namely crew resource management is expertly covered and this should help reduce accidents arising from pilot error.

All-in-all, this is an excellent book for all pilots regardless of experience but particularly for the training captains.
