Book Description

April 2003 1581941307 978-1581941302 4th
The primary purpose of Airline Transport Pilot FAA Written Exam is to provide you with the easiest, fastest, and least expensive means of passing the FAA Airline Transport Pilot (Part 121) - Airplane (ATP) or Airline Transport Pilot (Part 135) - Airplane (ATA) knowledge test, which is required before you can take your ATP practical (flight) test.

Additionally, this book can be used in preparation for the following FAA knowledge tests: Airline Transport Pilot (FAR Part 135) - Added Rating - Airplane (ARA), which is for a person who holds an ATP certificate with a helicopter class rating and wants to add an airplane rating to his/her ATP certificate. Aircraft Dispatcher (ADX), which is required for a person desiring to become an aircraft dispatcher for a Part 121 air carrier. We change the FAA knowledge (written) test process from a memorization marathon to a learning opportunity and experience. You get higher test scores in less study time. Seven of the major differences between our Airline Transport Pilot FAA Written Exam book and most other available books are Only airplane-related questions and study materials are included in our books. Comprehensive explanations of each question are provided, including explanations of why each answer is incorrect. Answer explanations are NEXT to each question, NOT at the back of the book. All FAA test questions are reorganized into logical topics (FARs, weather, navigation, etc.) We provide outlines explaining the concepts tested at the beginning of each chapter so you can study and learn the material before you answer and study the test questions. A detailed index assists you in finding topics and questions you wish to study. We provide practice tests using the FAA's mix of question topics.

Everything that can be said about Gleim's books has already been... This is quite simply the most cost-effective way to take the FAA Written Exam for the ATP. With the exception of my Private Pilot Written, I have used the Gleim for every single FAA Test through MEI and ATP. Seminars may be quicker, but I cannot imagine them being worth the expense.

Simply highlight the answers and go through the book two or three times. Read the question, read the answer. Voila! Guaranteed pass. You'll be surprised how much you learn/relearn along the way, too. It takes a little longer than a seminar, but it's worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much cheaper from Gleim website, July 7, 2007
This review is from: Airline Transport Pilot FAA Written Exam (Paperback)
As of 7/7/2007 - these sellers are advertising this item as $70 dollars to buy! That is a joke. Their version is outdated. Who wants a study guide based on outdated questions that aren't even on the FAA test anymore!? You can buy the current version of this book from asa, sportys or gleim - brand new for $26 dollars!
