This was a good deal. I couldn't find in the desrciption how many pieces were in this set, but took a chance and ordered it anyway. It includes 100 sheets, so I was pretty happy with that. Two of the sheets are foil (gold and silver), which my origami loving son was thrilled with.

I was looking for an origami paper that I could use to teach some basic folding techniques to 3-4 year olds. The size of this paper, the color options, and the ability to use crayons to write on them fulfilled my needs. I previously purchased some smaller, 6" squares with a gloss finish and they were too small and the finish did not let them draw easily on the paper.

To me, I'm a rather serious folder and origami enthusiast, this paper serves its purpose if you use it specifically as test sheets. This paper is also good for beginners and intermediate folders who wish to get a feel for origami. I would recommend smaller paper 6" inch squares for beginners as the larger sized paper will probably inhibit the precision for traditional models.

About the paper:
- Kami weight (so it's traditional origami paper, I'd say it is actually a little bit thinner than kami weight)
- Like I said, it makes for very cheap and useful test sheets for high-intermediate/low-complex crease patterns and diagrams

Use this paper for:
- Test sheets
- Finishing intermediate models

Don't use this paper for:
- Wetfolding, the paper is too thin and doesn't have enough sizing to make it practical to wetfold
-Complex models (The paper is rather weak when it comes to hard creases and tears easily if many layers are involved)
- Anything that has many layers (it has a tendency to splay easily, which greatly effects the outcome, and the more layers make it easier for the corners to tear)

My review title says it all. Better than I expected. Nice quality paper. My son is really starting to get into origami, and his little sister is not too far behind his new found passion. I didn't want to buy too much of a fancy product, for trial and error, but this exceeded my expectations. Came on time (though months early for the Christmas gift it's intended to be) Will for sure buy more.

You will be hard pressed to find a better deal on origami paper. The colors are beautiful with a great array of choices. The paper holds up well to folding and creasing, without much bleeding of color. It's thin enough to be folded precisely without tearing too easily. There's a resealable flap along the bottom of the package so you can pull out the sheets you want, seal the bag back up and store without worrying about pages falling out.

Good quality basic paper. Nothing fancy. Great size. Easy to work with. No complaints from my 12 year old origami expert.

I bought this for my third graders so they could work with bigger paper and hopefully have better success. It really didn't accomplish that. For some figures, I like this size better, for others (like the cranes), I prefer the smaller.

This is a pretty collection of origami paper, and we liked the quality of it. Thin enough to fold easily and lots of colors to choose from, including a little bit of metallic.
