5.0 out of 5 stars Great Boombox
As a 13 year old, I feel that this is a really great boombox. I really like the appearance; it's attractive looking. The sound is really good. And the Q-sound (virtual surround sound) is a great feature in that it makes the music sound like it is all around you. The only thing I don't really like about it is that it has a rather flimsy CD lid. Other than that, I...

3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointing
I didn't buy this from Amazon.com, but did get it as a gift last year. I was thrilled when I tore open the gift and saw I got an Aiwa boombox as I had bought other Aiwa products in the past and have been extremely satisfied with them. However, after I started playing this boombox, I was a bit disappointed with its limited volume output capacity as well with its...

3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointing, December 2, 1999

This review is from: Aiwa CADW530 Portable CD Stereo Boombox (Electronics)
I didn't buy this from Amazon.com, but did get it as a gift last year. I was thrilled when I tore open the gift and saw I got an Aiwa boombox as I had bought other Aiwa products in the past and have been extremely satisfied with them. However, after I started playing this boombox, I was a bit disappointed with its limited volume output capacity as well with its volume output of recorded cassettes. But, overall, it serves its purpose and I can't complain otherwise.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Great Stereo, January 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Aiwa CADW530 Portable CD Stereo Boombox (Electronics)
Unlike most new Aiwa's I've seen or purchased, this particular stereo seemed to be way out of date. The buttons were hard to push, and the remote was almost useless. The sound was decent, but for the money, I wouldn't recommend buying this stereo.

5.0 out of 5 stars great little system, September 30, 2006
This review is from: Aiwa CADW530 Portable CD Stereo Boombox (Electronics)
i have been useing mine from about 6th grade on. now im in my 3rd year in college, i have my computer hooked up through the microphone input. this thing has always been great. sound quality for a small system is not too bad, and that comming from a audio enthusiest. (currently working on an infinity Hi-fi setup with custum amp and crossovers) im sure you can get something better today, but this thing is reliable and gives good audio.
