YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED TO HAVE EXTRA BATTERIES. THIS PORTABLE UNIT CAN EASILY BE TURNED ON BECAUSE OF THE OFF-ON BUTTON THAT IS EASILY PUSHED. IT HAS GOOD QUALITY AND I LIKE THE FACT YOU CAN PRESET PLENTY OF STATIONS ON THE FM DIAL. BUT IT BUGS ME THAT WHEN I PACKED IT IN MY SUITCASE FOR A TRIP- EVERY TIME I TOOK IT OUT IT WAS TURNED ON BECAUSE THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH TO THE ON-OFF SWITCH WILL TURN IT ON-- THE SWITCH IS ON THE FRONT OF THE UNIT AND IS A PUSH BUTTON. SO YOU NEED EXTRA BATTERIES BECAUSE IT COMES ON EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T TURN IT ON.

I bought this portable to use at the gym. It works great. There is now a HOLD button that when on does not allow accidental turning on of the unit and draining of batteries. I love the TV channels. The belt clip holds very well, even on the bottom of my workout shorts, upside down! . Very light and convienent for the gym. Great product.

the a-m receiver is better than any walkman type receiver i've owned. it works very well in the building where i work even though i'm not near a window.
