CD functions include 20-track programming, random play, repeat play, and CD-R/CD-RW compatibility. The digital-synthesizer tuner receives FM, AM, and weather broadcasts, and its 32 presets let you skip to the station you want.
By connecting a powered subwoofer to the dedicated subwoofer output, you can enhance any musical style with lower-octave reproduction for an even greater sense of realism. The system's two-way speakers use wood enclosures. Although more expensive to manufacture than sealed-box designs, bass-reflex speakers reproduce lower frequencies more efficiently. The unit's Dynamic Integrated Neo Amplifier (DINA) produces power more efficiently than do conventional amplifiers, so you can enjoy clear sound across the unit's audio spectrum. Separate bass and treble controls let you tailor the sound to your preference. The XR-EC10 includes a remote control.
