Simple and to the point, Ajax Powder Cleanser with Bleach is what my Grandmother and my Mother used. When they were cleaning the kitchen or the bathroom, your nose knew that some serious business was going on. Not that it was the most beautiful scent in the world, it just let you know, as you would soon see, that perfect results would be evident.
The bathroom sparkled. The kitchen was shiny and new. With all the super-atomic-organic cleaners on the market today, isn't it funny I always feel compelled to return to old-faithful again and again? Somehow you just know... when you want it clean, you want it Ajax clean.

Ajax with bleach is a very good product and has been for some time. However, one can likely buy the 28 oz. version of this product for $1 at their local Dollar store. At $3, you're paying approximately $2.50 to ship the product as the value for 14 oz. of Ajax is ~ $.50Hopefully, I've helped someone make a wiser purchase next time ... I discovered this information the expensive way, too. ;)

In my opinion, Ajax is a tried and true project. It gets the job done, the "old fashioned" way. Even with all of the new cleaning products out there, I seem to get the best results with Ajax, scrub brush and a little elbow grease. I used it in my shower to get that pesky mold out of the grout. Just a sprinkle of Ajax, a great grout brush I also got on Amazon and a little water and presto, the mold was gone and I was more than pleased! Great on toilet bowls too! Would recommend to everyone!

The product is great, but Amazon's packaging means that the container will be knocked open in transit. There will be little Ajax left as most of it will be dusting anything else you bought.

Of course I don't clean, so the person I bought this for to clean up after me makes our kitchen and baths sparkle. We have stainless steel sinks (never again) and Ajax Powder works like magic.

Great product,

Ajax is the best and fastest at cleaning my bathtub and sink. The blue color makes scrubbing easier, because you can see where it is. It works even better at cleaning than plain bleach.

The Foaming Cleanser,
This review is from: Ajax Powder Cleanser with Bleach, 14 oz (396 g) (Health and Beauty)
In Sophocles' tragedy from 440 B.C.E, Ajax says: "There will I wash and purge these stains..." He is also called Ajax the Greater, quick to battle and always showing courage. You have to appreciate the wit that goes into naming product and this is all I can come up with.
The story starts with a shower and then I'm not sure when my own insanity occurred. There I was sitting on the edge of the tub pouring warm paraffin all over my arms and legs. Hey, I thought if this stuff could make your hands and feet silky smooth, then, why not try it on half your body? Did the sentence: "Put a towel down in the bathtub" ever enter my head? Yes. But then I would have had to throw the towel away, so took my chances. If you know about Paraffin more than likely you have something like ASIN: B00005TZU2 and you know that there comes a time when you want to clean out the unit and the only way to do so is to melt the paraffin and use it all up. That is the practical way. So, that was my thought. I have thoughts now and then. Just I don't always pay attention. Small bits of paraffin then attached themselves with a vengeance to the tub. How was I going to get those out of the tub before my husband jumped in the shower? After thinking about him slipping in the shower as a result of my beauty routine made me consider that I did in fact want him around for a few more years. So, with that in mind, I reached for the Ajax with Bleach cleanser. After all, it worked after the salt/oil body scrub. No really, it did. The fact is, it "Cuts grease fast." I found this product a long time ago when cleaning a house for a friend who was most insistent that I use ONLY Ajax in all her bathrooms. She was An Ajax Girl! In fact, the first time I cleaned, she watched me clean the entire bathroom and pointed out how I "should have" cleaned. It was a great learning experience and to this day I still think of Susan standing at the doorway as I scrubbed the tub. Now, with that said, let me describe this product. They Guarantee it will clean and rinse off easily. You wet the surface you are cleaning and sprinkle on the Ajax or you can wet a cloth and sprinkle Ajax onto the cloth. It tends to form a powdery blue paste. Once you have scrubbed a bit, you can rinse it all down the drain and voila! Works on bathtubs splattered with paraffin (without wetting the tub), pots and pans, porcelain, bathroom fixtures, ceramic tiles, barbecue grills (maybe before next summer), garbage cans, etc. It can also be used on Romanesque Mosaic Sinks. You might want to test a small area and then proceed. I would NOT recommend using this on anything like marble or plastic as it seems it might scratch the item. For the tub and kitchen chores, it seems fine. Also don't use it on fabrics, silver or painted surfaces. This product contains: Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Carbonate, Anionic Surfactants, Bleach, Quality Control Agents, Fragrance, Color. Don't mix with ammonia and Do wear gloves! Ajax is great for those times when baking soda just doesn't cut it. Baking soda is also nice and abrasive, but when you need to clean with bleach, this product works like a charm. *AjaxxajA*AjaxxajA*AjaxxajA*AjaxxajA*AjaxxajA* Some intriguing facts: William Colgate started a candle and soap making company in New York City in 1806. Ajax cleanser was introduced in the early 1940s. The first animated commercial that used identifiable characters was an Ajax commercial. Animation, never before possible in mass advertising, came into its own with television. Ajax cleanser was advertised by three animated pixies prancing about cleaning dirty surfaces. They also introduced TVs first jingle: "You'll stop paying the elbow tax, when you start cleaning with Ajax." It still: "Foams as it cleans," "Cuts grease fast" "Floats the dirt right down the drain." Ajax isn't just a cleanser, it's history! When you use Ajax, dirt and grime will be history too. ~The Rebecca Review |
