4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, this is a good book.
This book possesses a unique approach to Vampyrism. Very informational and the author has great knowledge of the subject. That being said, this is a difficult book to follow in thought process. The information would be easier to understand with better editing and grammar.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good ideas crushed under incompetent writing.
Before I start, let me state that I am someone who hates being nitpicky about grammer, spelling, and syntax. I think you shouldn't complain if you still understand it. So when I say that the editing here is horrible, you know it's really, really bad.

Before I start, let me state that I am someone who hates being nitpicky about grammer, spelling, and syntax. I think you shouldn't complain if you still understand it. So when I say that the editing here is horrible, you know it's really, really bad.

I understand what Ford was talking about less than half the time. Now, since he's started writing and marketing, I personally have given my great-grandson enough thousands of dollars (I always spring for the high-quality copies) to get himself both an editor and a spelling & grammer check on his word processor, and this low quality of work is unacceptable for his knowledge and for a LHP practioner's self-set standards.

There's a lot of good information here, I think. I just can't make any sense of most of it. Not recommended for purchase unless you like deciphering puzzling chunks of text. I do not, and expect future editions to be cleaned up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! But not for the weak of mind., September 22, 2011
I found this book to be one I really enjoyed for several reasons. Today the Vampire and Werewolf have been resurrected in Hollywood. And not only has that happened, a small group of gothic people have jumped on board, trying to imitate the blood sucking vampire purtrayed in movies and books of fiction. Or is it? While evrything is basically an illusion, or what we make of it, I like Michael's approach, it just makes more sense than many of the others practicing Vampirism. When reading Michael Ford's book Akhkharu, it gave me a more realistic look into the vampire and the mindset of the lefthand practicianer. The Vampire path may not be for everyone. If you would like to shed some light on the darkness of the Vampire, you should buy a copy for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars A dark and fascinating read, November 25, 2009

This book is the most recent addition to my growing library of books by Michael Ford and while there are some overlaps in information i find he is consistent in the angle from which he is writing and the current he is drawing upon. This book explores more of astral projection vampyrism and is very interesting to say the least. The style of writing is good though one must be careful with the grammar as i have noticed that some errors lead to ambiguous statements that could be taken as meaning the complete opposite of what i believe he is trying to say. After reading the book i meditated and in the semi dream state some kind of old infernal steam engine pulled up before me , i could ride it, but before i could something outside of myself let with the most strangest sound - as if some daemonic train was in fact blowing its tortured whistle - as if tied to my cursory dream state but wholly emanating from outside - i put this here as i am utterly at a loss to explain what the sound was and have never heard anything like it before in my life. I add this if only record the anomalous phenomena that always occurs for me when i delve into these books.

5.0 out of 5 stars A core book on LHP, October 15, 2009
This review is from: Akhkharu - Vampyre Magick (Paperback)
This book is a great source on not only Vampyrism, but working with feminine energies like Lilith. It is an important work on the subject, much more interesting than most books on the subject.
