Book Description

Akiko (Sirius)
The final installment of the first AKIKO trilogy. Akiko, Spuckler, Mr. Beeba, P.Q. Goybi, GAx and Poog have gained entrance into Alia Rellapor's colossal mountain fortress, only to be captured by the brutish villain, Loza Throck. After they excape from the ominous "cage" in the dungeon, the actual Alia Rellapor is at last revealed. Is she really the maniacal monster our heroes suspected her to be all along--or much more? Either way, to both free the Prince and escape with their lives, Akiko and the gang must beat Loza Throck at his own game. This climactic book collects issues 14 through 18 of the monthly AKIKO series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story - appeals to kids and adults, March 27, 2000

This review is from: Akiko , Volume 3 (The Menace of Alia Rellapor , Book 3) (Akiko (Sirius)) (Paperback)
Akiko on the Planet Smoo is a delightful story about a young girl who reluctantly leads a ragtag team of adventurers on a dangerous quest to rescue the prince, held captive by the evil queen Alia Rellapore on the planet Smoo. The artwork is superb and engaging. The story is funny and smart. This is a great story to read aloud to your kids or to read on their own. The worst part is on reaching the last page and realizing that the adventure is over, at least until the next trade paperback is available. Fortunately for us the adventures continue.
