If you have ever heard his earlier album, Vagina Diner, you know that his unique rap style is what set him apart from other rappers who also used foul laguage and rapped about ghetto/ganster happenings. His beast were good, but it was his deep-throated utterance and his clever rhymes that kept you listening.

On this, his second full-length album (Put It In Your Mouth being an ep release,) his production has been upped; these are songs I wouldn't mind putting in my car stereo for a cruise down Santa Clara on a Saturday night. His rap skills are still there; you hear rhyme that make you laugh or go "Dang!" But he's backed up on the use of his trademark deep-throated vocalizations. In other words, he has gone from being the pure hardcore rapper with a unique sound on his first album to being a more commercial hardcore rapper on his second.

Your best bet would be to buy both albums, and listen to whichever fits your mood. However, since his first album is out of print, you're left with this good effort, while missing out on what caught everyone's attention in the first place. I hope, if he makes a third album, he'll keep the production while going back to his vocal roots.

This CD is great. I came across the CD during the Haydays of Napster. My wife threw my only copy away at some point. I think it was a little graphic for her. I just recently ordered and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

His first full length album in about 5 or 6 years, Akinyele, one of the King's of dirty songs returns with 19 more for your ears. Like almost all of his songs, this ain't for weak ears, of the 19 songs, about 75 % are about the pink hatchet wound - but his gravelly voiced flow and delivery are what set him apart fromothers. Two of the songs are from other albums, so it's 17 new songs. It has 3 classics, 5 ok songs, and the other 11 are good or real good songs. Guests are on almost every song but with 19 songs, you get enough of Akinyele to make you happy. Production is very good as well. Doc the Butcher does 7 songs, SBK does 3, Large professor does 2 and Buckwild, Lord Finesse, Key Tec, Chris Forte, Sean James, E Boogie,a nd Gerald Gibson all do 1 song. Of his 3 albums I have (I don't own "Music Kills" or "V@g!n@ Diner" which I can't find for under $30). A must have album.

This album is very underrated. If you don't have this album you should get it. The best songs on this album are "Take A Lick", "Coochie", "How Do You Feel", "Get Up", "P***y Makes The World Go Round", "Sister, Sister" & "Messin' With My Cru".

this is the best cd that ive ever heard. some of the top picks that are highly recommended are "take a lick", "put it in your mouth" and "coooooochie mama". so the next time you stop by the store check out this great 1999 cd by AKIN-YELE. if you have any objections give me and me friends a holla at BERKELEY.

You must buy this, the beats are butter, and his verbal skills are up.Akinyele should make movies.
