My favorite valve oil,
By bluereys (Texas) - See all my reviews

This is definitely my favorite valve oil.
I have been playing trumpet for a little over twenty years, and everyone I play with uses this as well. It provides the perfect viscosity for worry-free playing, but perhaps the best part about it is that it is colorless, as well as ODORLESS! Valve oil inevitable drips on things you don't want it too, and it's nice not to have that oil smell and discoloration pervade your practice room, case, and things. Love this stuff - highly recommended.

My "Go To" Oil,
By
This review is from: Al Cass Valve Oil, 2.0 fluid Oz. (Electronics)
I have used Al Cass exclusively for at least the past 10 years with great results. I have never had issues with sluggish valves or any other type of valve problem. In addition, I enjoy the larger sized bottles which seem to last forever. Usually I only have to oil my valves every two weeks or so. I personally don't use it for slides normally, but I have put it on my 1st and 3rd slides in a pinch and have had good results. It also works very well at thinning out thicker oils or greases for slides.
Also, can't beat Amazon prime shipping and Amazon.com prices!! (I just wish they would consolidate the three different Al Cass listings!)

Great product. It keeps the valves on my 1971 Benge Los Angeles in fine working order. Great action on the valves and lasts a long time.

The oil itself is great - lasts about a week, no issues with stickiness. But inevitably, for each bottle I use, the bottle cap becomes brittle, cracks, and falls apart. I fear carrying this oil in my case for worry that the cap is going to crack and make a mess in my case. I know of one other trumpet player who has the same complaint. Five stars for the oil, one star for the bottle, that averages out to three stars.

Works well, just as described. Fixed the sticky-valve issue on my son's trumpet! Easy for him to use by himself.

Fast, effective oil,

Seriously, they're not kidding when they label this oil as "fast". This oil works right away to make those sticky valves well lubricated. Plus, it can last you for a couple of years assuming that you use it sparingly and only when necessary.

This has to be the best and only valve oil for horn players. I am a a long time euphonium player and have tried many different value oils over the years, especially when my old horn was having "sticky valves". None of the oils were as good as Al Cass oil.

Best valve oil,
I've been playing trumpet for over 20 years and this is easily the best valve oil I've ever used. I've tried the expensive brands and all the others that claim to be made with space-age technology or what-have-you and Al Cass is by far superior. You can use it on slides and valves, you don't need a lot but even if you coat the valve it wont gunk it up, and it lasts for awhile.
I use this on a 15 year old Bach Strad Model 37 and a Yamaha Pro Flugelhorn.

Quality product,
I've been using Al Cass Fast Valve Oil for about 30 years. I've tried other products but Al cass is relatively odorless and does the trick. I've found other valve oils have funky odors even if they work fine on the valves. It works across a broad range of temperatures. Quality product at a very reasonable price.
