The thermos arrived and we tested it by filling with boiling water and checking the temperature after 12 hours. The water was still 190 degrees. After 36 hours we still registerd a temp of 125. That aspect of the thermos works well. It did however arrive damaged, due to poor packing.

I bought this to give as a gift. I've had one for years and couldn't do without it. Anytime I'm going to be in the car all day or when I travel I always have a thermos of coffee with me (as well as a few cold drinks in the thermo-electric cooler). When traveling, if you stop and buy drinks and coffee all during the day you spend a fortune. Plus, I like my own coffee better than when I get on the road. Simple love SS vacuum bottle.
