Alan Dale Dickinson [this subject author] was born in downtown Los Angeles, California, during an earthquake. He will not disclose in what year as that would make him feel older and he already feels old enough]. He came into this crazy old mixed up world at the famous California Medical Center located right downtown LA at the 110 [Harbor Freeway] and the 10 [Santa Monica Freeway].
That makes him a native Californian. Although he has traveled around the globe, he has never found any location that he likes better than right here in sunny southern California. After attending California State University-Fullerton, where he degreed in: accounting, economics, Finance, management, and real estate, he became an Corporate Vice President of Bank of America [the largest bank in the USA and the 13 largest bank in the whole world] and worked for them for 20 years in and around the LA/Orange County area.
Also he holds a Life Time Teaching Credential from the State of California for any Community College in the fields of: International Business and Banking.
He holds numerous recognitions, prestiegous awards, and certificates from the different organizations that he has worked for over the past 35 years.
His lifetime love of detective novels, movies and TV shows, and his interest in real life PI's [Private Investigators] led to his first 4 mystery [crime-ficton Genre] novels. His anti-hero as well as his alter ego, is: Charlie O'Brien, PI. His 5th in the series, entitled "Charlie's Angeles" will be out sometime next year and it will be the final episode in this particular series.
