5.0 out of 5 stars Long awaited book on a unique NASCAR champion, January 15, 2010
This review is from: Alan Kulwicki NASCAR Champion: Against All Odds (Paperback)
Very complete book on the life and times of the 1992 NASCAR champion. The author has done a great job covering the story of one of racings most enigmatic characters. In many ways , Alan Kulwicki was NASCAR's most unlikely champion. Alan was able to build up his own team from nearly nothing, he also was one of the very first drivers to enter the sport with a college degree in Engineering.

Not only does the book cover the NASCAR career of Alan Kulwicki, it also delves very thoroughly into the little known story of his career on the small Wisconsin short tracks, and how he moved up through the ranks. The author gives a reader a lot of insight into Kulwicki's personality and what he was like on a personal level. Naturally, the author goes into detail on what happened that sad day when Alan lost his life in the tragic plane crash and how it affected his friends and associates. This is a book that should have been written years ago and was long overdue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome, June 8, 2011

This review is from: Alan Kulwicki NASCAR Champion: Against All Odds (Paperback)
A must read for any fan of Alan Kulwicki, The 92 campion was a man that few of his fans really knew this book offers in sight and a look at him that even a hardcore fan like myself never knew. The books a little slow in the beginning but after the first chapter when they really get into Alan's life and racing its a page turner you can't put it down I am on my 2nd read right now
