I've loved this book since I was a kid!,

I first read "Alas, Babylon" back in the 60s when it was required reading for school. I had heard of it and my mother had a copy so I read it completely through before we had to read it in school.The technology is a bit outdated now but still - remove a few statements about Sputnik and it could still happen tomorrow. That's frightening but with this and other books to warn us, maybe we can avoid this kind of holocaust! My mother's old hardback copy was lost years ago. My paperback copy is getting rather worn itself. I am pleased to now own a hardback copy - even if it is an old school library copy!
