This is my first review to write. I'm doing so because I just finished Alaska Brides and I'm depressed. The first two stories are great. I'm a big fan of Cathy Marie Hake(Chance Books I love) and I loved Mary Connealy's Petticoat Ranch. Mary writes about strong women who can take care of themselves. My problem with Y'Barbo's story is even tho you get your happy ending you are to sad by then. *Spoiler Alert*----From Chapter 10 when the sad thing occurs till Chapter 18 you feel nothing but sadness. I could have dealt with the bad thing if only it hadn't been drawn out for 18 years. I mean she even wasted three simply not reading his letters. I'm sorry but with family like Merry who needs enemies. The minute he was free I would have been telling Fiona the news. Back then that was a lifetime. I just hate the last story was the worst. Instead of the feel good I normally get I just cried and thought what a waste of years. Lest you think I'm a looney I just get into the charaters I read and I hate to end a book crying. If you're looking for the kind of book that doesn't follow the norm then read Golden Twilight. If you want good to prevail over evil then only read the first two in the book.

I got this book for my mom for her birthday. She loved it, it arived on time and in great condition.
I love buying used books, it savesmoney and is good for the enivironment:-)

The book was used but in good condition and came swiftly. I enjoyed the authors and the content. I enjoy romance but wholesome and not smutty. Heartsong publishes this type of book and I know I will not be offended with the content or language.
