Alaska Smokehouse Smoked Salmon Fillet In Northwest Discovery are selected for their rich color, size and texture.The Salmon are hand filleted and marinated in a special brine and then slowly smoked over alderwood for 6 to 18 hours. This produces a salmon that is fully cooked with a firm texture that easily flakes apart when serving. The Smoked Salmon needs no refrigeration, has a five year shelf life and can be shipped anywhere with the United States.

If you've ever had smoked salmon before you'll probably be expecting that smooth, uncooked texture of salmon but this product does not have that texture. This was like tuna or overcooked salmon. As for flavor, it was quite smoky which is not bad in and of itself but it had very little salmon taste. I would not buy it again.
